I'm online window shopping for a red briefcase. This is as stressed as I get :D

Should I go for navy instead? Decisions, decisions...

^^Good for you.
I'm looking out bedroom window because crack heads been breakin into vans. My van been done twice now ?

K,go for something more you. A teal or lavender. Beautiful and unique. You've never been one to blend into the crowd.

Teal and lavender are gorgeous. Pretty difficult to get in that size for lappy, numerous note books and paperwork etc etc. Absolutely nothing I've seen in green either.

Sorry meant teal OR lavender. Something soft yet vibrant. Ooh, sage!!!

The palest pastel sage ;)

Alas its work attire. My main coats are red, the other navy, suits tend to be eh navy, grey or black and I've just bought eh....new red and navy shoes 8) Corporate uniform :\ No personality allowed there lol. Well apart from when I open my mouth!

Tie dye is clearly the way forward complete with smudge sticks, incence and a lava lamp for your desk. ;)

I work with children too and you better believe I'll drop a f bomb when it warrants it. You need to keep it in your arsenal so that when you are really furious you can unleash it for full effect. I bet a rowdy class would poop their pants and instantly straighten up if you did. Nothing better for getting an unruly child's attention than growling an obscenity

Herb, if a kid grabs a scaplel from my hand I could ask them nicely or I can whisper forcefully to let go of my fucking hand. Which one do you think has the fastest (and safest) response?

You know slightly less than nothing.

@ Koneko-have you thought of cobalt? Very on trend but enough color to ignore the corporate format. Because of what I do, I'm stuck with navy, charcoal and black suits. Boring. I get my color on with scarves and handbags.

Ooh cobalt, nice choice. Honestly never occurred to me. Acceptable and yet distinctive. Nice call tink. Used to be my favourite shade of blue.

Discussions about the death of internet forums have been going on since at least 2010. There have been loads of articles written, and traffic to most forums has declined to some degree since the heyday of the mid-noughties.

I would say some of that is related to mobile internet browsing - most forums have tended to suit desktop PCs better, and when attempts are made to switch to mobile format, it often looks crap. Reddit is probably a good example of a forum that manages mobile format well, reflected in its user base.

But as others have said social media has also played a crucial role in siphoning off traffic, since much of what actually gets posted on a lot of threads is really just social chit-chat and waffle rather than useful information related to the topic in question.

There's also the rather obvious fact that there are now almost 2 decades-worth of information on many forums for people to search through and browse to find answers.

So in a sense we're past peak-forum and now into the steady-simmer phase. But this is not the same as seeing them actually die, as they still have a purpose that cannot be met by any other means including social media.
