Sorry Sadie, I should have said some mods. You haven't made any sneidy coments, in fact the opposite is true, you seem very friendly and level headed and it's just a shame some other mods aren't like that.
Others have said the same as me in this thread but some mods just ignore that and would rather start some shit with me over my opinion and blame me. That's fine Im a big boy and can handle it but it don't solve nothin.
It's funny how you play all innocent.
Looking back at
your welcome thread, it seems your whole grudge is based on not getting a response for two days.
You ended up with a more interesting new members' introduction thread than most.
I'm not sure what the anger is hoping to achieve, but as Mentes says above, you get out what you put into a forum.
The harm reduction focused sections of the forum are still busy, and that's kind of the thing i most value about the site.
Yes, community is a really important thing, and socially-inclined subforums serve an important HR role too. Especially for socially isolated or marginalised drug users...
It might seem troubling for people to feel that they're being ignored if nobody checks their intro post in NMI - but we are staffed entirely by volunteers, and unfortunately that section is not at the top of all of our priority lists. I try to look in there when i can, which is far from regularly. Having said that, the mods in that section
are really good - but they have lives outside of the site, and contribute what time they can.
I can assure you that people invest a great deal of time and effort into helping keep bluelight running - including (especially) the folks that moderate the new member introductions - so if you think you're getting
snide remarks from me, it may just be because you're so aggressive and critical.
I'll see if we can get a letter from the Queen and a ticker tape parade down the high street sorted for the next forum you join
