Wow. I've read that the bioavailability is pretty high when plugged. I can't use needles so I snort, and smoke. Honestly, smoking has treated me well. When I get some, I usually smoke 1/3 of the amount I snort, but I always smoke it immediately. I feel it immediately, and honesty, If I'm a bit ill, smoking it kills all w/d symptoms instantly. I'm intrigued about plugging it now. Was the rush similar to snorting? How long before you felt it?

It works well. The French like to take all their medication up the bum as it is such a good route of administration. As a word of caution though I once looked after someone who managed to nick the inside of their rectum with the syringe. Clearly it is not the most sterile of locations and they developed an abcess fairly quickly which required lancing and then daily packing with gauze for a couple of weeks, this is as unpleasant as it sounds and is best avoided. Secondly you can OD quite easily so as much caution as with IV use is required. Use 2ml syringes (1mls are too sharp round the edges) and lots of lube and lie on your left side afterwards.

I personally use a 10mL oral syringe with a 2 inch plastic tube of a soap dispenser glued on the end to plug with ease. Much easier to get in, and I find 5-9mL of water to be the sweet spot on how much to use.

I've got a general question to ask those of you who are likely to have more knowledge/a better understanding of IV drug use.

How long does it take for veins to begin 'disappearing' (collapsing, damage, & whatever things that lead to this) in someone who doesn't rotate sites? Say, if someone is injecting 2-5 times daily into the same location?

I realize there is no real 'valid' answer to this question as it stands in that there are far too many variables and each scenario would be different. But based on your knowledge, how long would you expect it to take?

I've been slamming twice a day (sometimes 3 times) for the past 10 days or so, rotating between the Basilic and Cephalic vein in the crook of my elbow. I am now switching between arms each day (example; left arm today; right arm tomorrow). But on the first 5-6 days of IVing, I hit the same spot (a few mm's in distance so not exact same) a couple times in a day.

So I wasn't rotating veins the first few days and that got me thinking about this. It was probably a total of 11-14 shots. I realize this is a fairly insignificant amount unlikely to have caused any worrisome damage but I still feel guilty because I am much more well-read than to have not rotated sites. I had missed a shot the first time I tried a different vein and that is what made me irrationally rationalize going back to hitting the same spot. The missed shot was due to poor technique and I have since become more proficient at slamming - so rotating sites is no issue anymore.

^^ get a life man it's his body not yours and I do agree fresh points are preferred obv and it's obv not good at all to use them 30 fuckin times but wow you went way over the top you coulda nicely in one paragraph explained the damage he was doing and recommend something he would realistically do like try not to use a needle for than five times and filter souloutions twice if he's useing normal cotton like that's my advice realistic advice that he probably would actually do because he's able To do that. Not everyone has money for microns ad gas to get to a needle exchange that could be hours away for all you no . It makes me wanna puke how snobby you are your a prick Man U think ur so much better but your not your just another piece of shit junkie like the rest of us

We're concerned for each other's safety and well being here

In the past, injection drug users have used and then consequentially re-used needles to the point where they broke off inside of the users' skin, and was embedded into their flesh; some traveled through the circulatory system and ended up lodged in the lung of one user*

ambien iv

I IV'D ambein last night, I got in the vein but as I was injecting accidentally pulled the needle out of the vein. Its kinda swollen and hurts a bit I was just wondering if I'm gonna die or have some sort of medical problems. If someone could help me out that would be great!

you should probably see a doctor.

these are considered fringe threads because we don't want to be promoting shooting pills but the counter-argument is that people are going to do it anyways. i'll move your thread to other drugs if you need to follow up.

What did you use to filter it with? Did you use a micron filter or just a cotton?

Whatever you do, DO NOT hesitate to go see a doctor/get medical attention if you feel you should. Read this thread here: http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/730686-ya-I-was-shooting-Ambien-%28and-lost-my-arm%29

There's really not much advice people can give you other than go see a doctor, maybe put a hot compress on the swelling, keep an eye on the site to see if an infection develops/abscess forms/general pain & weakness, etc.. You can definitely develop medical problems as a result from this and cause damage which could get a lot worse (as in LOSING your arm worse which is exactly what happened in that thread I just linked you).

It's ultimately up to you, but my advice would be to definitely go see someone if it gets worse.

i did nearly the exact same thing about a month ago. now my left arm is gone from the elbow down. my infection didnt seem to be to bad at 1st, then all hell broke loose. i cant express how important it is to seek medical attention. please go to the er, tell them what happened, they might not give you any opiates for the pain but they will probably give you an antibiotic. error on the side of caution friend.............peace

Missed shot?

I just tried bupe/diph combo for the first time. The shot registered and it didn't burn at all when i shot it, however my elbow feels a little sore when its fully extended (like a tight muscle), is this normal? (it could be because I used a 25g, 1.5 inch.. not accustomed to this size). I should feel pain when shooting it if is missed, correct?

thank you~

edit: The reason I may think something went wrong is because the plunger is large, so after i register, i had to shift my had to be able to shoot it, thus moving the needle. I repeated this process like 3 times to make sure it still registered after I moved it.. but the last time I checked just said fuck it and shot it even though the needle moved.

when you're injecting out of the vein, ime, it instantly starts to burn and you can see a small bump forming - the solution you just injected under your skin -. if you got a rush or got high quick, you probably didn't miss.

shooting up can hurt sometimes... when i uses 22g needles, and didn't register at first and would dig around until i found a vein, i found that this would always leave the spot hurt, even though i didn't miss. and it was a pain just like you described (i guess) i'd feel like there was something tight under my skin. did you 'dig around' with the needle? 25g isn't too big imo but it could hurt anyway.

if there isn't an abcess or it goes away after a day or two, you should be fine. if not please go to the doctor

I'm using a 1.5 inch needle, I think that may be the problem. I just missed on my other arm.. it registered, and then I think when I push down the plunger I accidentally pierce through the other side at some point. There was a small lump but went away mostly within 10 minutes.

However, the original shot I made the post for (my left arm) still feels sore/tight when its either fully extended or fully bent in. Theres very little (faded) redness on it, and it hurts when I press down on it. Thoughts? I think its been around 24 hours.. It's not swollen or any bumps - just soreness, light redness and a little bruising and hurts with pressure.

Should I get it checked out? If need be my mother is a nurse and she knows what I do. I'd rather not, but if need be I'd rather come to her before facing medical bills. Or should I wait another day?

Overall.. I'm staying away from needles for a while now. It's not even for worthy substances (bupe).. its just the ritual and a sense of control for at least my own body :|.

Hey, I have two hard knots, one on each arm, and I'm really concerned as I've never had them before - I looked at the first 15 pages of this thread and got some useful information, however, would love to hear from someone directly. They are slightly sore to touch, but not too bad, some yellowing of the skin around the very hard veins that have risen to the surface of the skin, when I stretch my left arm out particularly, you can very well see the outline of it, the other side isn't as bad. Though, in the 1.5-2 weeks since it formed it hasn't seemed to improve at all? I usually never miss, always register properly, very safe, only really used heroin for IV, however that night I decided to IV Meth and 2 * 10mg Ambien (Zolpidem) which was ridiculous (not doing that again, more frighteningly realistic than anything I'd ever seen, hallucinating for the entire night and the next night, couldn't tell apart reality, way more intense than acid/strrooms) and I think that's what caused it. Would it be from the pills as it seemed to appear after that night - does that change anything, make it more dangerous for me? Should I get it looked at or when will they go away, am I at risk?

Missed a shot of Suboxone in my finger... Kinda scared !!!

Okay so I've always had horrible veins even before I became an iv user... I've really never ived anything other than Suboxone... The doctors could hardly hit me before I ever picked up the needle myself.

Anyways... My arms are fucked, my feet are fucked, hands, wrists etc. so I was starting to use my finger veins. Well I ived a half a quarter of sub 3 nights ago in the top of my index finger no problem. So the next morning I went to go in the same spot.

Anyways. Blood came in it the whole time checked it probably 4 times and it kept burning so I just pulled it out and said fuck it. So it wasn't the WHOLE shot but about 75% of it. Ugh. I've had 5 abcesses in the passed 5 months. I'm scared.

I started taking 500mg of cephalexin 3 times that day because of course my finger began to swell. I'm hoping these could possibly stop an infection from forming ??? Anyone know ?

The finger has began to get a little bigger but my hand went down after about 48hrs. Any advice would be great. Or any support. I'm wanting to stop so bad and honestly don't know how... It scares me.

I'm so torn and it seems to be such a worry anymore. I wanna just say fuck it and stop but I'm sure you all know how that is. I'm having to go like kinda in my hip bones right now. I HATE THIS. I need some advice

missed shot of heroin almost 2 days ago

Hi, I read a lot of forums on people talking about missed shots and what to do. ...however, I don't know if the same "advice" applies to me since most people were saying what to do immediately after missing (they either use hot water/ hot compress and/or cold ice pack).
It's on my forearm like a few inches above my Palm and I knew that the kid missed when he did it, but I wasn't home I didn't take care of it...and then it really started bothering me badly but still was hoping it would just go down. Now it's a big red hard bump that I just noticed got warm which I believe means infection. ..so I'm worried.

Basically I wrote a whole novel...sorry .it was all just to say: that I was too irresponsible to take care of a missed shot right away and now almost 2 days later I'm not sure what to do since it's hurting and warm big and red. Usually these things go away by me...but not always. ...
Help anyone? Please.

Ps. This was my 1st post ever so please forgive my rambling. ..I'll get better at this

Being that it's red doesn't necessarily mean infection. Every time I've missed even a little bit it turns red and swollen. And by the way you really should not inject in the forearm or wrist. The veins are likely way too small and can easily blow out. Your best bet is you vein in the bend of your arm. Why didn't you just hit there in the first place?
