incest (consenting) does it bother you?

The age of consent is 16 here, that still doesn't mean it is morally right.

16 yr old girls were bat shit crazy when I was 16, I'd need my head examined if I even consider one now I'm 40. If a daughter comes onto her father it is more a reflection on his parenting skills than the daughter.

I agree there is a lot of psychology here. Personally I'd suggest you keep to sharing your incest fantasies to strangers on the internet and not let them known to anyone in the real world.

This is a good point. These things are very popular in gay porn. Brothers, father/son, uncle/nephew. And like you said the "daddy/son" terminology has even veered off from its literal meaning to include people who are not even related. It is still pretty taboo though, to depict a realistic incestuous relationship...even in gay porn. I think i remember seeing only one video that was really convincing to me as far as the physical resemblance between the "father" and "son". I'm not sure why it is such a fantasy for gays in particular unless it has something to do with a certain fringe closeted psychology. If that makes sense. Not sure it does.

Anyway, as with anything I think it depends on the individuals and each specific situation. There are definite reasons why two family members should not reproduce, but as far as being romantically or physically involved its hard for me to condemn it without feeling a bit hypocritical. Consenting adults is my general rule. The pedophilia analogy is ridiculous since minors cannot legally give consent. And yes i realize maturity levels vary and not every 18 year old is as mature as the next, but for now this is the rule our society has decided to abide by, and if we feel it should change, thats fine, but if that is our legal standard it is what we ourselves have chosen.

Last time I checked bluelight wasn't the outside world. By all means keep filling SLR with your intimate thoughts but don't expect many people in polite company to support you.

I know what consent means, that wasn't the question... The question was at what age does someone become able to consent and what is an appropriate age gap and why? You just skirted around question I posed and act like you answered it.

Legally in most countries the legal age of Consent is 18.. so consider that a legally consenting adult.

And beyond that age I don't give a flying shit if that 18 year old is giving your saggy 90 year old great grandma's dusty windsock a thorough pounding.

As to the thread, yes it would bother me if I found out people in my extended family are having incestuous relationships. However its none of my business so they can do whatever they like, I wouldn't want to make it illegal since it has fuck all to do with me.

I'd would say the majority of the world it is a lot lower than 18. Judging from the link above it looks like the majority is some where between 14 and 16. I rate my chances of mentally and emotionally fucking with most 15 yr olds.

Tolerance and open mind does not mean throwing away common sense and morals. Fantasies are not a problem. You could fuck your girlfriend and make her call you daddy, nothing wrong with that. Actually acting out incest to me is wrong on so many levels for plenty of very good reasons.

Ok here is a hypothetical scenario.

What if you became friends with a couple and got along with them really well; possibly months or years down the road.. somehow you find out they've been keeping a secret; they are actualy siblings. Would you condemn them and cease contact simply because it's somthing you don't like?

Or how about somthing slightly different.
What if you met and befriended siblings. Maybe they live together, maybe they don't, but regardless they are obviously close but not "too" close. Then also much farther down the line after being friends for hood chunk of time, you find out they are in love with eachother.

My point being; you don't have to like somthing to tolerate it. I still don't think it's somthing tht should be condemned like rape or murder.
Of course we may have to just agree to disagree. I'm clearly a (somewhat) minority (though I'm kinda shocked that how many people are claiming that they don't like it, but do not judge)

And as far as my opinion on consenting age, 18 is my general go to when the older of the 2 is over 20.
As you can see most places consider it 16. Regarding the subject, if both are really close to the same age then I can see exceptions.. but even regarding non incestuous coupling, I think it's immoral (yup laugh it up) to have an older adult to choose to be with a young teen, even if it is "legal"

There's a biological reason why this is conditioned into us... survival of the human race. If we weren't diversifying our genetics and playing in the same pool we'd be inferior. One only has to take one look at some of those poor children of incest (with their multitude of physical and mental disabilities, in most cases) to see why. Keep it outside the family folks.
