If you could have an endless supply of/only use one drug for the rest of your life...

If I were not over 1.5 years dependent on 3 mg clonazepam + 1 mg alprazolam/day (currently, minimum daily dose), I would probably elect an opiate, because of their wonderful versatility. Assuming I never became dependent/addicted to benzos, I think I would chose one of the opiates, but I am very unsure of which. If it came in pure form, hydrocodone becomes an opition. No matter what opiate I would chose, there would be obvious reasons as to why. In the morning, I could wake up with energy and be able to do things. At night, I would be able to sleep most comfortably. I would be in a state of 24-7 comfort, which would never have to end assuming I had an unlimited supply, but I believe there is a dose which is almost never reached that is lethal regardless of tolerance. I am not sure of that, however. But, I would never have to be in pain (of any kind), again! It would be great -- I think?

I would choose heroin because I love how it makes me feel. Also since I would have an endless supply of it I wouldn't have to worry about withdrawal. A close second would be marijuana though. It was kind of hard deciding which one.

If you could only do one drug for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This excludes medications taken for the purpose of treating legitimate ailments. One recreational drug for the rest of your life. I expect many will choose cannabis for its versatility and ability to be used with some frequency, but to those who would without hesitation choose marijuana: wouldn't you miss caffeine to help you wake up in the mornings? Wouldn't you miss alcohol for having a good ol' time with some friends? MDMA for dancing all night at raves? LSD or Mushrooms for a true trip?

I can honestly say I don't know which I would choose, which only makes me more thankful for all of the wonderful drugs out there. <3

I can't imagine a situation where I'd only be able to do one drug for the rest of my life. If you can come up with a realistic scenario where that'd happen, I would love to hear it.

But, I'll play your game. I'd say weed, not just because it is versatile, but because it does make me trip out at higher doses. I've had visionary experiences with it. And depending on the strain, I can use it to dance all night, or to sleep, or to be social, etc. It can be used as medicine, once it is made into salves/creams, foods, etc.

LSD is a close second, but... I can really only do LSD at visionary levels every 3 months or so at this point, otherwise I suffer burnout. That never happens for me with weed.

A good addition to this would be - "Only one drug for the rest of your life that you have to do every day"

And mine would be Opana 40's. In large quantities. Nothing has given me the same feeling as the 40's did, not dope, oxy's or morphine. I miss opanas....

**edit**

Although I might add that coffee is a good choice ^^^

Cigarettes would be a definite killer as well since I can't have them to go with my opanas :(

Weed without a doubt.
I can get over not havin coffee, even willingly give up my diet Dew. But not havin weed? Hell no! I'd even trade my cigs for weed.
Despite government propaganda, weed is, IMO, the best drug there is. Medicinal or recreational. It has unlimited uses really. Highs, pain mngt, bakin, cookin, etc..

I'm afraid I have to break the rules here because there are 2. AMT and Cannabis (separately), they are my medicine.

I like this thread. And I think I'd pick heroin, too, because really, it's lovely. Everything else is icing on the cake.

But, I've been wondering: What sort of ramifications would an unchecked, unlimited, rampant heroin habit have on the brain, body & mind?

Like if I snorted a gram of heroin a day (suppose pure diacetylmorphine) and lived an otherwise healthy life, what would that do to me? Besides the classic side effects of constipations, sweats, pupil constriction, etc.

Say someone received their "unlimited supply" at the age of 25. What do you think their doses would be like when they are 50? What ill effects do you think would be present? Assuming the person takes care of themselves health-wise. Exercise, proper diet, etc. I don't think there are any case studies like this but I can't help but wonder and speculate.

^ That is a really good question and I guess the only way you could get any kind of answer or explanation, is you'd have to find a long term chronic user that has been dependent and using heroin everyday for that long of a time

I mean how else could you find out, we are all just speculating because of course you're never going to get a life time supply of H lol sorry :[
