I'd do anything to be thin

If you were really thin, believe me, you would soon get fed-up of peeps assuming you have an eating disorder, telling you to eat cakes, idiots not realising that just because your thin, doesn't mean your necessarily healthy.

With regards to toning up remember don't do lift the heaviest weight you can, try lower weights with higher repititions. Muscle weighs heavier than fat after all.

Most of us get affected to some degree by what others say, but don't necessarily admit it; although you should expect your boyfriend to support you. I know others have said it, (again though think about how you really feel about him, not what other peeps think you should feel) but it just doesn't seem right to me to go out with someone that makes you feel bad about yourself. Maybe you could try commenting in a negative way about his appearance, becuase personally it's not something i would even say to an enemy.

We all have things we wish we could change about our appearance, but it's the person that counts.

Take Care

Thanks dude, and no im not really thin to the point where people think i have a problem . Im just a normal thin guy, 6'2 160 lbs, and you cant see my ribs or anything when i take my shirt off......

I really just get sick of people saying im "skinny", the word i hate...

Half the people that say im skinny are overweight themselves and the other half i can seriously kick their ass, not trying to sound cool or anything. Im actually really tough and strong on the inside, even a little on the outside aswell, for my size atleast......

Its just a lot of the people that think im scronny and cant defend myself are the people that i find annoying... and with girls I ESPECIALLY hate the girls that say "you need to eat more" (by the way i eat 3 or sometimes more full meals a day), but anyway so those are the girls that i just want to fuckin punch in the nose. And might I add they are the type of girls who go for the "meathead" jock type that are roided out and who have the WORST personality, like one jock for example: One of my jock friends goes up behind girls at parties and eaither A.) SLAPS their asses really hard and just goes "hehehe" or B.) goes up behind them and grabs their tits. Also the girls hate this but they act like they enjoy it because the guy is "cool" in peoples eyes......highschool is so funny....

What the fuck? You ARE thin. I don't admit this readily here but I'm exactly your height and I weigh 73kg currently. I fit into a size 12, and I feel great. Look at my picture gallery. Do I look fat?

I can't even contemplate how I'd look at 59kg - probably terrific ;), but coming from my perspective now, I see that weight as quite thin - my goal is 64kg.

I know you don't WANT to hear this, but I don't give a fuck. I seriously think you have body image issues; especially if you think you're going to "die" if you stay at the weight you are. Furthermore, I'm ridiculously dissapointed in the responses so far where people have tried to fuel your obsessive self-hate by giving you further weight loss tips. Shame on you all.

Your weight is FINE. In fact, you are at the lower end of the healthy weight scale for your height (the minimum is 54kg), and you need to get some serious perspective. If you cannot see that, it may be time to get some help.

I know you'll ignore this but hey, I'll sleep better at night having said it. :\

How is healthy weight loss in any context bad?

Anyways.....to add to the discussion....dont look at the scale so much as body definition....Especially if u plan on weight training (which is highly reccommended)....weight training raises ur metabolism for hours after your workout as opposes to aerobic which only increases metabolism while ur actually exercising...

Brick shit house

I'm 5'4" and around 165 but don't feel too bad in myself because I've got huge breasts:D and VERY strong thighs:) . I can cycle for MILES and MILES and am very strong.;) I'm a stalwart and only feel slightly overweight. THere are different body builds and types and different sorts of fitness. So if you're 127 at my height, don't worry!

First of all, if you really would do ANYTHING to be as thin as you want to be, YOU WOULD BE. No offense. But if you had the will power to not eat, you would be as thin as you wanted.

I'm not saying you would be healthy or even happy, but you would be at your former weight.

Now I'm not going to give you this shit everyone else is giving you (even though this IS healthy living, though I don't know why you posted here in the first place since your priority is not healthiness but thinness). If you want to be a certain thinness, that's your business as far as I am concerned. Everyone has different priorities. If being super thin is one of yours, then I hope you achieve it.

Anyway, it could very well be your antidepressant. If you are like me, it's not worth being on an AD that makes you gain weight because it makes you more miserable to be fat than to be unmedicated! So ditch or switch the meds. That's an absolute MUST and you need to do that ASAP.

Then, i fyou don't drop the weight with 1-2 months with your normal eating and exercise habits (and definitely avoid the drugs -- they can make you fatter in the long run!) -- then just don't eat very much and exercise as much as you can. And you'll get thin. You won't necessarily be healthy, like I said, but if you really care enough and are off the evil meds that are fucking with your metabolism, you will be able to lose the weight and keep it off.

Good luck!

If you read the initial post properly you'll see she's not talking about healthy weight loss. :\ She said she'd do anything to achieve it, would take desperate measures, and felt like she would "die" if she didn't lose weight. And the girl is already at the 'thin' end of the healthy weight range for her height! That's nuts.

Weight loss is not healthy when it's a symptom of, and driven by, underlying psychological issues. Nothing in my posts will get through to her anyway, but she's only likely to just read the weight loss tips here - but I just wanted to bring some sense and perspective into the discussion.

In the end I guess it's her decision, like FN said. But I hope no-one here seriously thinks - with the figures she quoted - that she has an *actual* need to lose weight.

lol! yes I forgot to take account into account my breasteses ;) My weight right now is a bit heavy for my height but i exercise every other day, can go spinning for an hour straight and play squash the next day. I feel healthy (altho I'm still waiting to shed a few pounds more!) and that is all that matters.

>>I think guys look best with normal looking arms legs and chest, and with a nice little beer belly.

(and no I'm not joking).>>

how about generically skinny guys that have buff legs from biking? ;)

ebola

^ bikers are cool! The only thing I don't like is guys who obsess over themselves in the gym. Nothing is more of a turn off to me - and no offense to those who are into that, I'm just not into it.

Cut daily calorie intake to 1,100 per day, excercise (cardio+aerobics+fatburn) on a regular basis.... don't eat late at night and drink lots of water & diet drinks... and become a vegetarian

I think this will work.... I'm like 5' 1.5'' about 89 pounds.. skinny enough?

haha no need for apologies! I've been to doctors who have told me I'm unhealthily underweight and blah blah, but I eat like any other American... it's just been a little harder for me to gain weight

Are you sure being 'thin' will make you happy or are you just focusing on your weight as a distraction from the real reasons you are unhappy right now?

What exactly about being thinner than you are now makes you happier? How does being unnaturally thin lead to happiness?

I ask because through no fault of my own I used to be very underweight and that aspect of my life was a misery. Not because I had any particular health problems from it but because of people's attitudes toward me. People seem to think that they can say alot of nasty things to thin people about their weight and it's not supposed to bother them. I was constantly accused of being anorexic or bulimic even though I ate loads of food (which obviously I was throwing it up later 8) ).

I am your height and sometimes I weigh 60kg, which I consider healthy for my height and sometimes I balloon to 64kg, which makes me feel a bit fat. Rarely do people say a goddamn thing about my body or my eating to me these days and that makes me very happy. No way in hell would I ever want to weigh 44kg again. It's just not that great how I remember it.

So what exactly do you miss about being underweight?

The only hint in your original post is some crap your boyfriend has been saying to you about it. How much does he weigh? Because that's exactly how much weight you need to lose.

"I've been on speed, smoked ice, and shot heroin" :(

Do anything to be thin? you need'nt go so far..

Not that i am sure you'll read this but here's what i do:

Go to the gym or go for a jog everyday. Don't say you don't have time..

I went from 110kg to 85kg (6ft male) now I can eat whatever I want. The trick is to do the exercise as late in the day as possible and don't eat anything before bed.

Do anything to be thin? -

Go for a 90 min run everyday, after your last meal, before bed. eat what you want in the day (within reason), dont worry about it, just do your exercise and watch the fat fly off.

The chicks a wannabe anorexic, thats about all there is to this.
