I Just Bought a Bufo Alvarius...Does Anyone Else on BL Have One?

It definitely can't be bufotenin or n,n-dmt, but other compounds are a possibility.

Maybe the venom contains a completely new hallucinogen?

I think Terence Mckenna took 5meo-DMT and said it "felt like an elephant was sitting on my head".
 
Well in all honesty; it doesn't sound like your gonna just poke him with a sharp stick every weekend with no other possible stimulus so I say why not; the only thing that made it look bad was the hostility you portrayed when someone brought up animal rights, almost like you were waiting for it in a way :p. But I digress.

I think this would be kinda cool. Perhaps your toad will become your bestest friend with his juices intimately caressing your mind with trippy goodness xD
 
Go easy on O.P.

He has convinced himself the death and torture of another creature is a joking matter. I admit this is concerning. If someone takes murder and torture of a creature so light heartedly they probably are capable of doing what they joke about. By this same logic O.P. is equally capable of pampering Frank (and I hope he does).

The really terrible things humans have done were caused by governments. O.P. might think torture and murder laughable, but this is only one frog, right? Unless O.P. has the responsibility of other peoples lives or is involved in some type of unethical goverment mass experimentation this isn't worth mentioning.

I actually had an elephant, I dearly loved, who I let sit on my head from time to time and she recently passed. To take my mind off of my loss I read Mckenna frequently and when I read what he wrote about 5-MeO-DMT I decided to buy a toad for the sole purpose of reliving those happier days gone by with beloved elephant "Jumbo".

I am sorley deluded and grief stricken and know not what I do or say and someday when all these "holier than thou", meat eating, car driving, bug squashing, aerosol spraying, leather wearing, stone throwing glass house living, do gooders get to heaven and see me there, they'll know then that they were indeed to quick to judge me, and that God, in all her infinite wisdom, let a heinous toad milking bastard like me in the Pearly-fucking-Gates too.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to finish eating my Bottlenosed Dolphin sandwich....mmm mmm goooood.

I see what you did there. The satire! Seriously though, It boils down to ethics. Harvesting a sustainable resource from an animal is very common. Like milk from cows or eggs from chickens. They nourish the body. The frog could be used ethically in the same manner I'm sure? But nourishment for the mind. Again, I think ethics play a big role in the broad picture. Snakes and spiders are kept and bred for milking venom for human anti-venom, which is a medical necessity. I can see both sides though, There is obviously an inflated market for them which is shitty. You seek these sacred plants and animals not buy them. Look what mhrb did to the dmt scene.:(
 
They live for 30 plus years tho - what happens when phuck meets a girl next year who doesn't like having a toad in the house? Hit to the back of the head with an axe for poor Frank?

Phuckingnutz is a model for PETA membership compared to the syndicate that were farming and milking said toads to produce fake MDMA pills containing 5 meo dmt + who fucking knows what secondary alkaloids/toxins present in the venom. I'll try and google the new report it was utterly insane and in no way PETA compliant.
 
I must admit, Nutz has me laughing at the sense of humor in all of this. "Cottage in the hamptons...." lol Some of your counter responses are very funny. I got many chuckles out of this post. And it doesn't matter what I would do. Would I own a toad? No. Would I partake of the fruits of Nutz's toad? You bet. This is already happening, a relationship between man and toad is starting. And it is my "opinion" that caring and loving the toad can make for a great relationship. He/She may live a better life than if it was in the wild and got eaten by a wild bore at 3 weeks old. So hopefully I don't come off judgemental. I really believe people can choose regardless of my beliefs. I am one that doesn't like zoos either, but would I take my young nephew to one? You bet. So it is a compromise. And I never feel like I could sit on such a high ground and point out what others "do" wrong. It is not my place. Follow your heart I say.

Saying all that keep us posted phuckingnutz. This is an interesting subject and this thread can serve as some great information on the whole topic. Please come back and let us know the results and the outcome. This thread could serve as a guide of someone that does get a toad and work with it. People are doing that anyway, so may as well have some good and informing info. So if you can stay the ground Nutz and shake off the judgement while providing info we may just find that there is a great relationship between man and animal. It would be great if you post your experience.

Will I be more cognizant of Frank and his needs?...yes.

In all seriousness, I have kept many different kinds of reptiles and amphibians over the years and I really did work at the OKC zoo.

Frank will have a good home, nothing like in the wild, but relatively good for prison.

If I decide to get rid of him, I can always donate him to said zoo.

This makes absolutely no sense, since 5-MeO-DMT is known to be inactive orally. Unless they meant for the users to crush up the pills and snort them.

Doesn't sound likely. I don't think 5meo or bufo are even active in a pill. And if you were selling fake pills you'd just mix up some caffiene not go to the expense of setting up your own toad milking farm.
 
For christs sake don't let his become a new trend - bored teenagers who can't get any mushrooms get their own toad and then say "Dude it died after 3 days, I was feeding it on rice krispies and milk what went wrong?"

5-MeO-DMT is certainly active orally, although not very potent that route. At 35 mg orally I experienced the equivalence of a drawn-out very low dose smoked hit, although it appeared to cause a slight head tension. Not really a headache, but headache light, so to say.

The trend has already started.
I was on a long list of toad recipients....someday the only B Alvarius genetics will be from some "bored teenagers" toad.
Damn, now that you mention it, I need to stock up on Rice Krispies...
 
At least it sounds like you have a clue how to look after an amphibian phuck.

Damn straight I do...most people don't know any better and use corn flakes or some such shite, but you gotta use Rice Krispies 'cause they stay crispy in milk/water, plus they have the added advantage of sounding just like a wounded cricket, which stimultes the toad's appetite...ain't no moss growin' on me brother!
 
the amount of joking makes me think you are not getting a toad...
but to answer your question I care for some rhinella's (bufo is outdated)

and I care for fire salamanders and waxy monkeys as well if you want to include other psychoactive amphibians.
