I don't know her and I'm mistrustful of women, but this does not sound like it is what has happend.

I think that the fair sex is actually smarter about relationships than we are, and they can sniff out a problem down the line before we can. What is her problem? Angry ex-boyfriend, her father is trying to make her move across the country, her dog ran away...

Help appreciated!

EDIT: She even tells me her real name, and sends me pics of her kids via whatsapp, all kinds of personal info which is a big no no for an Escort.

I hangout with a girl I found in an escort ad. I was drunk and kept texting every number I saw on a certain online page, something like "what are you up to?". Next morning a number responds, we kept chatting and made plans to meet up at a driving range. We hit some balls, got along, went to eat and then she invites me over her friends house for for Sunday dinner. Followed her over to a house and it was actually a big family type dinner going on, got along with everyone there. I forgot to give my advice. My advice is always do what you want to do, be yourself, and don't regret your decisions. If it doesn't work out at least you know you gave it your best shot and she's not the one for you. Call up another escort and try again.

Yep, I’m 44 and single and get what you mean. Had an 11 year relationship fall apart in 2018 and since then have had 4 short relationships (one of whom I truly loved) and a couple of flings. Before the last one I’d made a pact with myself to not get into anything for at least a year to just work on myself and my relationship with my daughter. This turned into 1.5yrs and did me the world of good.

Then I went and fell head over heels in love. Then had a relapse with my bipolar and she left me within a few weeks. Couldn’t handle it.

So now I’m alone again and having to adjust while my heart heals. The fact is, and it’s a cliche but true, you really have to get used to your own company and love yourself first. And even then maybe you won’t find someone 🤷🏻 However, it’s def better being alone than with someone you’ll grow to resent.
