I don't get glowsticks

I think the only real use for glow sticks is for dancing. ITs just good to be holding something whilst dancing. Other than that they dont really entertain me that much.
 
Whenever I take pure MDMA I can tell because glowsticks look the exact same to me. If they're more speedy or MDA pills glowsticks are pretty sweet-looking to me. But I prefer flashing lightstick shows than glowstick shows.

i hate it though, whenever i'm at a rave and i'm holding glowsticks some dudes always ask me for a lightshow. they assume since i'm some asian chick i can bust out some crazy funky moves or something.

then on tao i finally gave this guy a lightshow cause he looked so gay like a queer, how could i resist doing a favor for him? and the whole time my friends were laughing their asses off at me cause i fucking SUCKED at giving the light show. but the weird part was, despite the fact that i sucked so bad, all these people kept coming to sit down and watch the light show, probably because they were amazed at how profound i was at being horrible.

then afterwards, i apologized and said it was my first lightshow. the gay guy said it really good for my first time, upon which i held his shoulder and said, "I don't need your sympathy." that's the last time i ever saw him, and it's no mystery why.

well, it's because all your senses are enhanced, and pupil dilation means that your eyes are more sensitive to light - and if you're rolling, that can feel/look pretty darn nice!

i love glowsticks sober. on E i am practically in love with them ;)
 
I don't get them either, and I used E many times :\ I don't see why so many people are fascinated by them........
I hate them as a matter of fact.
 
Not a fan, but if people wanna use em to have fun, who am I to stand in their way, or pass judgement on them

I got into them when I started dancing. After a while people asked for lightshows, I didn't know how and just winged it. A short time later I was introduced to Photons and have been doing lightshows with them ever since.

The only thing that bugs me is when a half million people come up to me for a lightshow in one night. At some point I'd like to dance too.
 
yea, i think that the candy kids are gathering and sitting down to see my lightshows. no, they're sitting down to get my upskirt view. im going far in life.
 
When people say it destroys the scene, they are talking about the EDM Scene.
In a way, it does. I dont mean to deviate from the original topic (ok, maybe I do) but when you have a group of people who are constantly struggling to maintain an image as a sub-culture not dependent on drug use in a world that only wants to label anything EDM related as a "rave", glowsticks draw unnecessary attention to the large amount of drug use that actually goes on. Ecstasy is an integral part of the scene, whether or not everyone wants to admit it. Id be willing to bet that 95% of people associated with the scene have at least tried it if they have not had a period of their life in which they did it regularly.


Personally I love glowsticks when I'm faced, a good light show by a trained professional will get me super-facedified. pc
 
I simply cannot understand the prejudice that makes people say they hate them. If something brings intense joy to somebody and doesn't hurt you, then just screw off with your trivial ideas of culture and coolness.

Like somebody posted, once you've seen what some people can do, and if you're on e (which for me brings out crazy visuals in lights, I don't understand why it wouldn't in others, maybe their mightset or maybe the way it reacts with them), it's fucking sick. Some of my favourite parts of raves are lightshows. Nothing like getting going, seeing the persons eyes roll back and kinda go cock-eyed and then giving it all you got, giving them an intense experience.

And to the person who says they don't need external things to have fun on drugs, well I don't need rollercosters to have fun at an amusement park, but it sure helps. Stop being so bias and look at pleasure and individuality, which is what drugs are all about :P
