I don't get glowsticks

You are in the UK Bad Boy, so you are unlikely to encounter many glowsticks.

They are rubbish IMO, so no great loss.
 
If you're fucked on E, they will mess with your vision and give you some crazy shows if done by the right person.

I personally just dance with em. Practice every week and go to at least a couple parties a month. I like to dance with em, I like the fact I can do something not a lot of people can do. I like breakin ultras in a circle, lighting up the whole club, and hearing 20+ people cheer in amazment. I like the friends in the dance community I have met, all the ravers I now know.

I am probably one of the few on bluelight who likes glowsticks more sober then when I'm rolling. When I start tossing, if I'm rolling, I end up giving myself a lightshow and I can't catch my sticks =D

Walmart, Target, sporting goods stores sometimes, any army store, most car part stores will all have normal glowsticks. You need to go online or get lucky and have a good store nearby to get high intensity or ultra sticks.

The synergy of a glowstick light show and rolling is occasional (cant find better way to describe it) SEE, when your roll seems to peak at its highest during the actual PEAK, get someone to shake the back of your head while someone else waves the sticks up and down in front of your vision. The colors seem to take on some sort of enchanting properties, some ppl may identify with this. It works buch better in a chaotic and loud environment such as a rave or club =D

As a tip what I do is try to make yourself see it coz if you block it (just like 1st timers block the effects of the roll) you will never see the magic of the glowstix
 
I've heard the best thing to see while rolling is a response to a fire - firetrucks and ambulances in a line.
Sound might be a little harsh, but ohhh... the lights ohhh yeah... ohhh it makes me wanna run my fingertips along my forearm.
 
Most venues I've seen have a table where you can buy 'sticks and sometimes photons and other LED lights, but it's waaaay cheaper to get your stuff on-line. There's places that you can buy 'sticks in bulk and get some amazing prices.

i've never done ecstasy, yet i think glowsticks are awesome. If i can get high, listen to tool and stare at a billboard for 2 hours, then i know for a fact that i can have even more fun with colorful light sticks.
 
I don't get glowsticks either, or baby southers(sp?) or any of the other shit candy kids are into. It's all rather pathetic if you ask me, if you can't enjoy your drugs without so much external stimulation.
 
glowsticks look cool until you see someone performing poi or fire dancing. What I liked about them was it was fun to play with, wasn't really into watching anyone else and I hate hate hate light shows.

Yeah I'm one of those few as well. They distract my natural flow of movement too much when I'm rolling. I have much more fun glowsticking sober or drunk.
 
Dancing with glowsticks is the best, I'll give people lightshows but I get annoyed when people try to give them to me

Whether or not I agree or disagree with disliking glowsticks (i have no opinion.), I really think someone like you (i.e. experienced and in-the-know) would be able to see "why" and "how" they are popular. Raver or not, those things have blown my mind when im rolling. I don't really mess around with them much anymore, but almost nothing else has made me gasp in disbelief, in a constant state of shock and awe, for long periods of time like they do.
Some glowstickers are so good that they have made me *almost* throw up while on mdma, simply because of sensory overload.
Some may think it's a dumb and pointless thing... probably 90%+ of the world who "knows about glowsticks"... but those who have experienced how awesome they actually can be... know whats up.

Dilated pupils which cannot constrict let in more light but...5ht1 + 2 receptors? Where are they located and what happens when they are stimulated? Please indulge and inform me. I have been rolling for 11 years (jeez! not 11 years straight) have yet to adore (abhor would be the correct word) the glowstick but I am however interested in finding out the scientific explanation why am not TRULY feeling the experience.

All this time without the love of the glowstick. What a waste of an edventure.
 
I like to explore MY universe when on mdma.

i do not NEED nor WANT a cheap visual when my mind is capable of creating things more powerful than a couple of chemicals that emit light for a couple hours.

But, as long as the kandy-ravers stay away from me, they will be a hard trget for me to hit. Until i get my new scope, then you fuckers are going DOWN! (read: sarcasm)

But stay away from me (read: serious)
 
they're not for me. they certainly seem to be a gimmick but if they give other people pleasure, they are demonstrably not pointless.
