I just completed my first piece to my portfolio! FINISHED. Now I have less then 48 hours to complete the other 4 pieces ! YAY !
 
My next euro trip is FRIDAY! w00t! Also playing aussie rules for scotland and our first match is against the poms. There is all sorts of national pride at stake!
 
I'm in San Francisco! It's so awesome =D We rode cable cars today (cheesey) and we're going to Alcatraz tomorrow. So much fun!!

man, the age we live in is awesome.

my brother just sent me a video of my 18 month old niece just starting to interact with my 2 month old nephew - holding and stroking and loving him. it's absolutely gorgeous.

it's so cool to get to visit them for the first time on 5 months next week, and because of photos and videos and the internet, know what colour hair she has these days, what he looks like now he's grown out of newborn skin, which clothes they're recycling for baby number two etc.

love it :D
 
I just realised, conceptually, that even though I have a really bad habit of procrastinating working on assignments I'm still actually working on them. See as a deadline approaches on the horizon, I still read little bit of related information in between pretending to ignore it, and can't truly forget about it. I often find myself thinking about an assignment when I'm doing other things.

In the weeks preceding the one or two caffeine fueled nights that lead to a finished product, I am creating against my conscious will this mental map of how an assignment is going to go down when I finally make myself start hitting keys.

So although I'm being lazy I'm also tilling the field, getting ready to sow. I'm like a farmer who drives the tractor heaps slowly because he's trying to read an enjoyable book at the same time, and the bumps of a fast ride are distracting.

So anyways my smile is actually that I just justified getting drunk again tonight.

I love her, but I think the only difference between old Britney, crazy Britney, and new Britney, is that crazy Britney was crazy enough to think that she was what made Britney successful.

Old and new Britney are with it enough to see that the writers, producers, managers, stylists, make up artists, hair stylists, video directors, choreographers etc etc etc are what take her from being a girl with a voice to an actual success.
