New Metallica on JJJ today and it was good. Like actually good. I never thought that's something I would ever, ever say.

Also got to see an endangered bird at work today (Bush Stone Curlew), and it was heaps funny hanging out in a bus shelter all day out of the rain. These birds don't really fly so it was hilarious to see it cautiously walk out of the bus shelter whenever somebody approached and then go back in it when people were gone.

Have no idea what the stupid thing was doing in suburbia though but it was tagged so we contacted National Parks and they sent someone out. Interested to hear on Monday what came of it all.

Also this fucking crazy guy at work whom nearly everyone has had a run in with at some point handed in his resignation today.

^Dude, the lack of alcohol in your system is doing horrible things to your ears. :p James Hetfield was practically singing the lyrics in falsetto. Busty and I have decided that's what it was lacking - no growling at all. :|

I'm smiling today after a great proposal we gave a client today. I'm still learning the ropes, but I came in with a great idea that I thought would suit the client's objectives and target demographic really well. They were so impressed they sent through a revised brief and asked us to draw up a specific proposal based on that one idea. =D

Also, having drinks on the balcony of my awesome work with a colleague, the IT department [who is a fucking DUDE] and a few other ring-ins. The Peroni's were a little ordinary [I'll have to slowly introduce a six pack of Smirnoff Blacks for my Friday drinks] but the conversation was great. I feel like I really fit in this place. :D

Exactly, it sounded like Hetfield could sing again. After any track on St. Anger I thought his voice was well fucked. There was some decent solos, riffs that were cool, and no fucking garbage can lid snare.

Every song on St. Anger was like 2 or 3 riffs repeated for 10 minutes with some fucking terrible lyrics sung badly. All over some horrible clanging that would make a nun want to murder small children.

Klue, yeah the Sidney Nolan one! I saw it when mum was over from NZ a few weeks ago. Well worth doing the tour where a lady explains some of the paintings for you. Really gives the paintings so much more feeling.

I'm really looking forward to hearing the rest of the Metallica album. I'm not sold on Hetfields singing but I like the riffs and sound at the back end of the song. See the thread in non electronic music if you want to hear it again.

Loads of nutella on toast for breakfast. I needed some compensation for being woken up so early to change the cars in the drive when Busty went off to work. :p

I just realised I'm eating this on the morning I get a filling. Bwahaa. :D

i dont know why im smiling because of this... but i am.... coz its shit funny really

last night, i decided it would be a great idea to go to the city with my mates... and only drink (very unlike me) so we went to the oxford arts factory... there was some massive 1st birthday thing... heaps of bands... blah blah yadda yadda... drinking away... woop woop woop... dancing on a table... 95kg+ doesnt go well on unstable table... i go flying... ass over tit... flat on my back... get up... laugh it off... keep drinking...

realise i had a small amount of blood coming from my lower back, i decided i would go buy a new shirt and just put a band-aid on it because well... i was wearing a white shirt... it looked like shit with blood on it.

so went to clothes store next door... asked for a band-aid and a new shirt... man behind counter advises me that a band-aid wont fix it... you better go to hospital and get some stitches...

so yeah... i got 3 stitches in my lower back... from a drunk stack, off an unstable table, in a shitty club.

^ Do chicks still dig scars these days? :D

Hamish and Andy Mystery Penis eating Competition, pure gold =D

Still smiling from my weekend in Melbourne :D

Met 3 fantastic Bl'ers <3, shopped my butt of and generally had a great time :D

Back to normal life now tho..

Going out to do a proposal and being told to bring back cupcakes for the whole office. :D
We were seeing a client right near this place. We bought back enough Rock Road and Marblous cakes so that we could have half of each of them per person.

PS. Rock Road FTW. <3

BENEFIT IS THE GREATEST BLUELIGHTER EVER!

He sent me The Sound and the Fury which will be great when there's a dull moment at a dinner party, and an awesome mix CD with a lot of Modest Mouse. Joannie, apparently Benefit dreamed about you, I and your James. We high fived him because he'd scored with a "well endowed" black lady. Oh that Benefit. He's such a rascal.

(I <3 you!)

Also, today at work I asked the boys to go buy me something nice. When I got back to my desk there was a coconut with a hat. They called him Wendell. I've never owned a coconut before.
