yeah man. i know for a fact that post exists. i remember it in vivid detail. bluelight now feels much more centered around harm reduction then it did when i joined.
also i kinda think everything i posted where positive things i learned from OD... i dont see how any of that stuff was negative.
i can see how people saw what you said and got the wrong idea, glad you cleared that up. i also know the thread you're referring to but i'm sure it's been deleted now. there's been significant changes in the boards rules over the years.
everyone just remember this is a positive thread, not a place for dumping your opinions that we're promoting more harm by accessing such things we do to people. we don't make the decision for them stick the needle in their arm, we just help them do it safely as possible.
i initially came to bluelight around the same time as you and remember the thread and agree with you and feel that OD is centred around HR a lot more currently.
OD's helped me learn the proper IV technique and how to treat complications that can happen from it. i learnt about micron filters, as well as the procedure for storing a larger volume in sterile solution. it's also helped me learn about to human cardiovascular system and other organs, etc and how they work.
it's taught me about other routes of administration and their BA's to do with many different drugs.
i've learnt about dangerous combinations of drugs which shouldn't be taken in combination.
i've learnt(experienced) about addiction and how to deal with withdrawal symptoms and alleviate other associated symptoms through not only other drugs but alternative treatments.
i've met some great people through this forum who've been there in times of support online and in real life.
that's just the tip of the iceberg and all i can think of at the moment - OD has taught me a lot and it's been a pleasure being able to give back.
