I don't think low levels of seratonin causes Alzheimer's, but I think they compared the brains of ecstasy users and ppl with the disease and they were similar... the main difference is that if you take a break your levels should return to near-normal.
Of course this says nothing about how your memory functions. I've only been using for a little over a year, no more than once or twice a month on average, and I've noticed that I have trouble remembering words or names, every now and then. Also I've always been a fast speaker but I tend to stumble over words more now. Hmm...
