    Welcome Guest!

How fried is your brain from E? (Memory Loss)

Well, memory loss is very dangereous thing...

Fucken stop droping pills every weekend or so... stop smoking weed every day.... Yeah, stop doing that and you'll be ok. Abstinance and moderation are your best friends.

Just remember that your brain IS NOT supposed to release large amounts of serotonin... Doing that kind of "suspicios action" very often can and will ruin you.

usually i only get memory loss (memory gets hazed) when i drop hard and a lil before, during, and a lil after its hard to remember everything. i dont really LOSE any memories, just that the whole time gets 'hazy' like a fogged memory

I find my memory abilities drop more as a result of not sleeping than the chemical action of MDMA. If I'm kept awake by anything then I find the next day (though its the same day to me, having not slept) I have trouble concentrating or remembering things just as badly as if I'd been awake on MDMA or amphetamine. Once I've had a decent sleep then I'm almost back to normal no matter the reason for staying awake, and by the second day I'm completely back to normal.

After 2 years of e and heavy weed use, my memory is not all that. I forget things I was supposed to do, where I put something etc. I also did these exact same things before e and pot, so Im not really sure if e fried my brain or not. I can speak without difficulty and my reflexes are sharp. Like Alpha said, without sleep, I feel cracked out and cant do anything mentally. Ive found that when I use molly, I have zero problems days or weeks later, like nothing happened, as opposed to pressed/cut pills. In short I think Im no worse then when I started doing pills. Just my .02

Heavy MDMA use shot my memory to shit for a while and I developed a stutter. Now I only use once or twice a year and the speech problem is gone and my memory is back to normal. Moderation!

Oh yeah, something I wanted to point out for myself personally is that.... I actually tend to get a better memory overall, at least right now... Since the whole summer was just fun anyways, dropping 'kept out' those memories I guess, so my more important memories (school and such) I still remember... I don't know how this works but that's just how it seems lately...

I am a light user and space out my rolling sessions by at least a couple weeks (if not more), so I do not see any difference with my memory. The next two days after I roll I do have issues with my sleep patterns and being on the lazy side, though not every time. Those are really the only negatives. Like one of the other posters said, I think moderation is the key. Don't get me wrong, I would L-O-V-E to roll every single weekend, if not more than that. I just choose not to, and its not always an easy thing when it is available. But in the long run, the "magic" will last longer, and you as a person will remain healthy and able to function as needed. I think E, when done in moderation, can actually be a very rewarding experience. You just have to be careful and take care of yourself.

I was using fairly heavily at the beginning of this year but
i've cut back considerably recently (6 week break then 2 weeks) i did notice that when i wasnt rolling our speech/communication gets fucked, not exactly a stutter its more like your mouth can't keep up with your brain!
Since i started using a bit of 5 htp and vitamin c though it has made a Noticable difference not just in the short term but in the long term too.

take care of yourselves and put back in what your taking out =D

my short term memory is a crispy critter at the moment, though i dont know if its the weed, speed or E doing it :) i tend to forget what im doing, just stop and think 'damn what AM i doing?' then go retrace my steps to try and get those blackened neurons kicking again...

im hoping my brain will get alot better if i stop using substances, but at the moment i find it rather amusing, everythings an adventure when you are prone to forgetting what your trying to do :)

I have always had very poor long term memory, even before i started using drugs. I can't remember anything more than 3 years back, only flashes and all my friends can remember things from back then. On the other hand i can remember a lot of other strange things, some things just stick in my memory while normal events don't I guess...

DUDE I CAN'T REMEMER MY NAME I DON'T KNOW WHERE I AM IT FEELS LIKE SOMEONE HAD SEX WITH ME LAST NIGHT.....

WHY AM I SCREAMING?!?!?! :p

naw jk it hasn't effected my memory at all! Now quit being e-tards and eat your 5-htp! :X

Even with 5-HTP MDMA can still affect your memory. I used very heavily over a two week period and, despite taking 5-HTP every day, my brain wasn't quite back to normal for nearly two months after.

I've heard about it a lot... a lot of people find that they stutter or find it hard to speak with excessive MDMA use... The good news is it disappears with time.

is it true low levels of serotonin lead to alzhimeirz (sp) ??? because i read that somewhere on another board or a website not sure (bad memory i knwo8) ) if so im really scared because although its cleared up abit, im still thick as shit for remembering, just the other week i lost my mobile, forgetting important dates that i shouldnt, i am too young for this, im not blaming E's, i love them but if im like this at this age what am i going to be like in 20/30 years?8( its honestly worrying me

just ive heard the disease ive mentioned makes you forget who you are and your name and your family. i really would stop taking E's if thats true!!

Oh yeah, something I forgot to mention... I don't really get memory loss from dropping, but the memories I have when I drop tend to seem like a "long lost memory", like I remember it, but it seems so long ago...
