How do YOU handle being ripped off

The most I've ever been ripped off was from this dude in a town I'd just moved in to for $xx. Well it ended up we lived in the same apartment complex and I saw him on a nearly daily basis. Fucker always had an excuse as to why he didn't have my shit. Oh well he has to live with the fact that he's a thief. I thought about beating the fuck out of him but my rational mind was able to stop myself. It wouldn't be worth it because I'm sure he'd do something to get even after. Myself I just try to live my life honest and I would never rip somebody off. It all comes around in the end I'm sure one day he'll jack the wrong guy and something really bad will happen.

i just take it in stride, sure i get upset but what can you do? If it can be easily fixed i'll try to fix it but i don't condone violence and either way, no amount of money (that i'd be dealing with) is worth putting yourself in danger or behind bars.
 
if i get ripped off, id say that it was my fault for being stupid enuff to be ripped off in the first place....yea i wud try to get back at whuever did it, but personally, i wud take every possible measure not to be in that situation in the first place!

you would take somebodys life over a little drugs?? it better be a shitload of drugs that you are talking about, as in multi-kilos cause taking someones life is a big deal, but for some reason in the drug world it isnt as much. like i understand why it goes on with the cartels and such but even small time junkies/users/dealers talk about actually killing someone for ripping them off. yes the person is a piece of shit and deserves to have something happen to him but should he be put to death?? no

totally situational.
if it's a small timer who don't pack, beat the shit out of them and rob them.
if it's someone slightly dangerous, break into their house or car and steal shit.
if it's a gangbanger with lots of violent friends let it slide.

edit: one time i got robbed and i stood in front of a kids house with a molotov cocktail and told him i was gonna burn his house down. he threatened to call the cops so i left.

Nah, I don't think that's a fair way to look at it (usually)... Sure, you can kick yourself for giving a guy the money before he has the product, or not checking to see what you've been given is real, the amount you ordered, etc... but blaming yourself for getting ripped off is like putting the blame on female rape victims just because they have tits. It can't be helped. Some jerkoffy asshole actively decided to scam you out of your monies; you didn't decide to let him/her do that to you -- even if you do walk right into it somehow. ;)
 
This possibly couldve already been said, and as crappy as getting ripped off is.... its happened to us all im sure, if we haddent have been out buying this crap to begin with , we'd not have these stories.

By NO means am I saying it's okay, NO WAY!
I'm just saying, if we put ourselves in that position, we can't do anything but expect it.
And noone deserves to die over drugs, they just arent worth a life, so exacting vengence is out of the question for me.

Shit, honestly the amount taken from me doesn't make a difference. It's the principle. I'm a fuck something of yours up if you rob me. There's a bunch of shit I could do. Most of the time it's just beat up whoever did it, and if they got friends, I'll smash on their friends with my boys. Don't matter.

I'll normally do whatever it takes to get my point across. Break car windows, house windows, kidnap their pet, spray paint their house...anythings fair game with me.

This is another reason why drugs are illegal. You talk about principles, but that's really a middle school reaction.

Being known by who? When you get ripped off, why wouldn't you refuse to allow those people in your presence anymore?
 
I learn from my mistakes, and I make damn sure everyone I know knows not to deal with whoever ripped me off.
