How do YOU handle being ripped off

Here's the whole story. I gave him the money during work and he said some chick was coming by and he'd get it real quick and give it to me in 15 minutes. A half hour goes by and I search around franticly for him without seeing him around..another hour goes by etc. So I ask around and he turns out he left without telling me. I start calling his phone and no answer. So what exactly would you think? I see him next week and he tells me he gets robbed at gunpoint, I honestly don't believe it as I've been told that same story before and it was not true, and I had to way to tell for sure he was telling the truth. ALL I KNOW IS I'M FUCKING OUT $140 BUCKS INCLUDING THE 15 FUCKING BUCKS I GAVE HIM TO GET THE SHIT FOR ME FOR "GOING OUT OF HIS WAY".

This whole deal was planned in advance and he supposively knew this chick and was good friends with her for quite some time as well.
 
never been actually ripped off cos i always just buy drugs through friends. but once time i was going to go through the guy my friend goes through, he told me to give him $200 and he'd go get my shit and bring it back. i'm not a moron so i told him i wanted to go or he wouldn't see any money and he left. he told my friend he was planning on ripping me off, and just knowing that i was fucking pissed. i can't imagine if i'd actually got ripped off. i didn't do anything, just one day when he called i talked to him and told him its his loss cos i always have a ton of money and i love drugs and now i won't be going through him.
 
Well, IMO something has to be done when you get ripped off. Not always something violent, although sometimes a good asswhoopin is the only way to get through to somebody. But you can't just take it like a bitch and walk away with your tail between your legs. If you let one person get away with it, others are liable to find out you're an easy mark and try the same on you.
 
I refuse to tolerate it.

it gets handled by me confronting people, and taking them out if need be.
 
Yall need to stop acting so hard and accept that there's only a few things to do when you're ripped off. Evaluate your situation, figure out why you got ripped off. Learn from your mistakes and do better next time.

You put yourselves in these situations.

When you accept it, the event tends to repeat itself.

Evlauate you situation: I just got jacked.

Figure out why: Probably because i agreed to front cash.

Next move: confront them (doesn't always mean going gangsta on them)

i think it's quite obvious, it's the black market.

i go back to my meth dealer when i think the gear has been sub-par and he's fixed me up some extra. i really don't use enough these days to be too worried when i think i've been ripped, i still get damn high and i know he will fix me up next time.

Yeah nothing wrong with confrontation, just a lot of people in this thread talking about seriously upping the ante.

There's just no need to commit acts of vandalism or assault over this kind of thing.
 
I actually got ripped off 300 dollars about 2 months ago, lesson learned, don't go back to that source. two, be more cautious with lots of money.
 
I don't slip up. And if somehow I do I get payback. Fuck that if I get beat and I don't do somethin peeps will think i'm sweet, that i'm that dude you can rob on. can't let that be.
 
I take it in stride. A loss is a loss. I don't ever deal in large quantities though so that's why I don't care so much.

However I never go back to that same source. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
 
I get pissed. But I just try to keep it cool. It happens. we are in the shadiest of the games. I always learn from it though which saves me in the long run

but if I do across who ever. Ill be sure to carry a bat

Nah but really shits gonna happen you gotta expect it sometimes when you consider who your dealing with. You gotta have rules and these types of things can be avoided. Know your people and dont front money and look at what your buying before money is exchanged. Given this cant always be avoided might as well try.
 
I'm never out to hurt anyone. So if I'm ripped off, yes I get mad but ultimately I just feel bad for the offender. Bad karma. I simply end transactions with them.

I never understood why people would do that...they just lose customers.
