How do you guys feel about Soma?

I love Soma, on there own lower doses like 350mg, made me feel drunk but, floaty and euphoric they don't last long though 2 hours till I start to come-down. They are far better than hydrocodone in my opinion (recreationally). Alot of people here are saying the hydro/soma combo is even better though. for no tolerance how much would be safe to take of each. 15mg of hydrocodone for me nets a minor feels good buzz.
 
Soma is much better than hydrocodone in my opinion. I hardly ever feel anything from hydro, even in the ~45mg dosages. Soma fucked me up, though.
 
Ok... I love SOMAHHHHH, well loved, since I am now on Methadone and not brave enough to mix meds. Well, also, I AM on the Methadone to overcome addiction so adding Soma to the buffet is not really in my best interest. But oh yeah, I love Soma. Particularly, the Soma generic put out by DAN mfg. For some reason I feel the need to belt a verse of "Memories" from Cats...(Good grief, and I hate that song)

When I was on the Percocet 10's I would melt one in hot water and then add a soma just to provide that good mellow effect. Wow. I really miss Soma. REALLY. But I am good. Recovery is good. Sober, straight, NOT dying is good. So I don't need Soma. Don't want Soma. I don't even remember what the question was. Well soma much...oops...I mean so much for that. There are somany things...I mean soma many... arghhhh. Lots of other things to think about. Butterflies. Puppies... Tootsie pops... NOT somas.. nope... Ok gonna cry myself to sleep.. Bye=D
 
I take 8-10 350mg tablets at a time. i did earlier and passed out again and slept six hours. Was the 3rd time it happened while watching the same movie. But yea, tolerence developes quick, i get 360 tablets every 60 days from my insurence's mail order 90 day supply. I went weeks without any, and we i got my last fill i took 3 and bearly felt anything, then bumped it up to six, now i take 8-10 twice a day

Methadone is going to create a far worse addiction then you had before. I've cold turkeyd off fentanyl, oxy, oxymorphone, morhine, etc. It is the benzo wds that are impossible to deal with
 
Oh yess.... Benzo withdrawal has been called "the nightmare withdrawal" by many people for very, very good reasons.

Even a friend - one who was taken to jail at the height of his 2gram of Hi-power black tar/day habit, said - upon being released - that the H. w/d's weren't that hard to deal with; just restlessness, RLS, and the out-of-body feeling.. but his w/d from daily Valium took up the entire time he spent in jail - 2 months. Upon being released, he said he STILL wasn't quite right yet, and that the first week was beyond horrific.

I have used benzos a million times, and have used them in binges too...but never experienced the w/d. Thank GOD. The ol' "confuse yer brain by switching up different pills" tactic seems to work for me..


SOMA - It is a great drug, IMO. Especially if/when you're an opiate user, and your use has grown and grown..
Currently using 350-700mg Soma to supplement a half-normal dose of opiates - to cut down tolerance....and it works beautifully. One simply takes the prescribed amount of Soma 30min before they dose with opiates, and voila! You get the same buzz, from half the amount!

I have not noticed a two-fold spike in my tolerance to it - yesterday, 350mg felt the same as today's 350mg. I am expecting it to fade, however, rather soon.

I don't find them recreational at all. However, they are great for what they're prescribed for: relaxing muscles. That being said, they work well for easing withdrawals. Or, if you're trying to ween down your opiate intake they are nice to take in combination with opiates (obviously in small amounts, as harm reduction/safety is key).
 
For mmt patients Soma is super kickass. Where I'm from they're really hard to get Rx'd and even harder to find on the street. I've got a friend who gets a script so I'm lucky in that respect, as well as the fact that Soma does not show up on my clinics' UA screen.

This person who gets them scripted every month is quite (thats an understatement) obese so she needs them to help her walk but she does so much methadone and heroin that the Soma kind of becomes a moot point, if you will. So she sells 'em to me. I like them. Very Much. There you have it; my 2 cents
 
Hard to get prescribed. Soma is probably one of the easiest recreational sedatives to obtain legally, on par with tramadol. Certain unnamed online vendors will prescribe you Soma online via "Online questionaire" diagnosis and ship them.

I personally don't like sedatives unless I'm trying to go to sleep. They are great for that aswell as stim. comedowns...
 
what danger - if any - is there w/ drinking on Soma. today I took 700mg and halfway through my second 12oz beer; that's all I plan on drinking.

I've also had 40mg morphine, but I'm addicted

they are fun for awhile but i dont really like them.. usually theyll just make me pass out within an hour or two..

but i only have a 20mg oc (standard dose for me is 30-40mg) and want it to be one my my lasts.. or atleast go a week without another pickup will mixing the 2 put me on a good level or just make me nod?

It's kind of scary when something called "Soma" is prescribed for everything.
 
Soma is my fave drug too. ANd, fortunately, my Nurse Practitioner that prescribes them is either not aware of their abuse potential or doesn't think I look like someone that would do that. I get 120 pills at a time of the 350mg. strength with about 6 refills. I don't doctor shop when I totally run out, I'm fortunate that my prescriber doesn't remember when she scripted them last and doesn't write it down. What a trusting lady. lol. Those 120 pills only last me, at the most, 6 days. Yes, I'll take about 20 of them from morning wake-up time to bedtime. I take 3-4 pills every 2-3 hours.Then, I'll wait a week after I'm out of them and tell the pharmacist, if questioned, that I'm going out of town for a 4-6 weeks and am getting all of my scrips filled before the trip. Then, they'll say, "well, when you run out, just go to one of our pharmacies where you're traveling. I tell them that I'm going to Mexico on business so I don't have that option. And when I "get back" from my shortened trip, I'll tell the pharmacy, if questioned, that they were seized by customs along with my other meds.
Anyway, the first time I took them, I took 3 pills (350mg. strength). My mom saw me and asked if I was drunk because I was slurring and wobbly on my feet. She said I was "somatosed," like comatosed. But, of course, they don't make me stoned cold unresponsive like a coma. Just the opposite.
Best buzz I ever got. Yeah, I've taken too many before in too short a time and nodded extremely, couldn't walk down stairs b/c my legs were too jittery and weak. Also, the buzz doesn't last long for my desired effect of euphoria, relaxation. They also make me very talkative as I seem to find an interest in talking with people. Of course, talking to people is not the best thing as I'm slurring. My neighbor even offered me a chair. lol.
Anyway, enough rambling. I've taken about 3000 of them in a variety of numbers of pills at a time, situations, time periods. So, if you have any more questions....fire away. I can share with you my experiences, but ultimately can't tell you how much or how often to take them. They are after all a muscle relaxant, and I'm just afraid, as the heart is a muscle, that one of these days I may mess up, taking them like candy, and stop the damn thing.

I've been prescribed Soma on and off for the past few years. I recently got a prescription for 120 somas a month ( 1 for times a day), with 5 refills. I am also on Fentanyl patch 75mcg every 72 hours and dilaudid 4 mgs three times a day as needed. I've noticed that if I take 3 or more Somas at once, my coordination goes haywire. I begin shaking uncontrollably, but I never get a high feeling. It's actually a very unconfortable feeling. I can barely walk. When I started using soma a few years ago, I would take two and get completely sedated. Now, reguardless of how many I take at once I don't get tired at all. I've heard of people taking 6 or more at once but because of the terrible shaking I get, I've never dared to take more then 4 at once. I'd rather just take 2 at a time. However, it works great to potentiate opiates, such as hydrocodone....or in my case the Dilaudid. I can't imagine taking 6 or more, but to each their own. I would just warn people to be careful because although it is not a narcotic, you can easily overdose on Soma.
 
i don't care for somas, they never got me high and the most effects i got at a little over a gram of the stuff was dullness and muscle relaxation.

no euphoria or anything like benzos.
