this is a great example of what NOT to let happen, whether you're just getting off the couch, or are months-in on a serious routine. THAT is the very description of going too far, and going too far in that manner is bad for you - it is trauma that is well above/beyond the trauma that proper training (ie "progressive overload") seeks to induce. This extra is not "better", it is counterproductive at best, and ruinous via injury at worst.and my neck muscles above are somewhat sore. And not in the good way.
