How bad is Ecstasy actually for you?

^^^^Yes that sounds jus like me lol. i do tha same shit man. not sure if i permanantly did it this time though. its been a year for me and i think if take a good dose right now i would roll pretty hard. i dont think i have permanantly lost the magic. i jus needed a nice long break from it. i dont think may serotonin system is very good to begin with though honestly, wich really sucks.

Say you're not doing it every weekend, more like every other weekend and then fairly often there's even a month or two break in between.... Does it really cause bad damage to the brain?

Well, obviously.

Lol at the direction of this thread. Farmista, confirmed for protecting his drug of choice. When we talk about MDMA abuse, we mean weekly or even monthly use can be considered abuse. We know you can't do it every day and get that same magical high. Just because you take it every week for a while, then take a break and get the 'magic' again doesn't mean it didn't cause damage. Your ability to analyze concepts is sub par, please leave before you make the people in this thread dumber.

even monthly use can be considered abuse.
i refute this claim!!! ime dosing mdma 12 times a year is perfectly fine, with zero negative effects ime. are you still seriously saying any more than 3 or 4 doses of mdma in a year is bad and or dangerous? seems rather over the top!
Your ability to analyze concepts is sub par
really? i dont believe. can you prove this claim?

That was all directed at farmista, if you cannot notice how much of a fool he is i have nothing to say to you lmao.
Yes 12 times a year is too much, if you cannot notice your self more depressed / anxious in your sober time i seriously think your brain has been damaged already. Seriously dude, 3-4 times a year should be the maximum to use MDMA with Minimum negative effects in your sober time. Once a month will catch up to you, did you NOT read the in depth research papers we posted in this thread. It is not bull shit man, when they say the SERT markers are MUCH lower than the control, they MEAN it. Stop being an e tard and thinking primarily of the high, it has consequences. Once a month is too much... period.

Honestly how are some of you guys mods, you know fuck all of what MDMA does. All you know is the basics , take care of your body, don't roll on a weekly basis, test etc.
Your making it seem that it is perfectly normal to roll every month, and people will take your word for it because you are 'mod'. You know nothing.

i have rolled every week for some months, lost the magic, take a six months break, try to roll again and...the magic was back! imo it depends from people to people
i agree with this. except the magic part, i just built an ugly tolerance.

grow up finished! live a little, experience a little..

regaining magic =/= complete repair of neurons. Rather some receptors have been up regulated in that time.
I rest my case

i will take first hand knowledge and experience over theory and reports any day mate.

are you a doctor finished, what are your qualifications?

Nope but i have been here for longer than you have. Lurked the E discussion for years, seen it all.
Have first hand experience, read heaps of papers. Talked to first bad comedown, the pro on the subject. I know my shit alright mate. I've seen threads where people feel damaged after their first usage.
I've done the once a month rule, although i was smoking a bunch of weed in that time i could tell what the E was doing to me.

I like first hand experience to, which i have. And i like data, from people who have been in uni for 8 years + and know the brain inside and out. When i add those together, i give my opinion.

Just curious, what other drugs do you use on a normal basis or at all? Do you smoke any pot, or do you just roll once a month and that's it.

Nope but i have been here for longer than you have.
really mature..

im going from personal experience and in my opinion 12 doses of MDMA a year is fine.

:)

i dont dose much mdma these days, and i dont smoke much ganja these days either. im currently focused on my studies rather than getting high. when i was a bit younger i was doing as much of both of those drugs as possible. how about you?

I'd have to disagree laugh. I think if you're waiting EXACTLY 30 days until you can roll again, just what you think you can get away with.. you're still going to develop problems in the long term. It's not something that will be sustainable for years at a time, for a while, yes. You'll be able to roll once a month with little to no problems at all, but eventually it will catch up to you. Which is where the three month rule comes from, it's something that can be kept up for likely as long as you will live with little to no difficulty..

It takes longer than a month to completely repair the changes caused by even just a regular dose of MDMA, and if you're consistently only waiting until you are 75% healed from the last roll you're going to keep dropping to lower and lower levels over time. It's something that's sustainable in the short term, but will come back to you in the long run.

What he said^
Anyways, these days i just smoke on the week ends. And that is pretty much it. I've been through loads of drugs though in the past. Once i was done with my rolling phase i did most of the harder drugs. Most recently addicted to heroin, doing meth here and there. Too many drugs to name, basically which ever was around id do it. But yea, i still miss certain drugs but i've put my parents through a lot. So they are fed up with my usage , i shouldn't even be smoking pot. But pot was my first love, and i'm managing quite well on week ends only.

Very well, i don't like to argue 12 times a year may work for you.
cool beans mateys :)
even though we are all human beings and technically the same i believe their are still differences (its pretty obvious tbh). i mean what is 'healthily' sustainable for me may be different for you, although we are all people we are vastly different. do what is best for you as an individual, listen to your body and mind. for me mdma maximum 12 times per year is sustainable, it may not be for you two, im cool with that.

Like most social drugs if used in moderation I am sure you could use MDMA for most of your life (I am living proof). However once you start abusing and over using it can cause problems (I am living proof of this also).
It certainly has had a negative impact on my life but I was using every month at least once a month for a couple of years and without giving away my age I have been using on and off for over 22 years. It eventually catches up with you if you don't listen to your body.

Now I suffer from a heart problem, twitching, jumping in my sleep and some mild depression. This has been going on over a year and numerous visits to A&E, doctors and plenty of prescribed pills. I am still going for hospital checks with my heart.

Greed got the better of me but the buzz is so great. The funny thing is I was probably taking it more often in the last two/three years then when I was young and going out to raves.

So yes it is bad for you but especially if you abuse it.

Say you're not doing it every weekend, more like every other weekend and then fairly often there's even a month or two break in between.... Does it really cause bad damage to the brain? I don't know if I'm bias but to me it just seems that it isn't THAT harmful of a drug.... (taking out the fact that you don't know what's in it etc etc) compared to say heroin or ice etc.

What are your thoughts on the long term damage of Ecstasy?

Shulgin suggest no more than 4 times a year, keep in mind MDA is more neurotoxic then meth. It does damage you but there is also a correct use for it, do research dont just jump on board because you want to party, if your going to have the experience make sure you learn something
