Honokiol & Mulungu extract

anxiolytics effects, motor function impairments, whether it sedates you or not

i'd probably be erring on the side of caution like you and boiling it into a tea as well.

would you be able to find out how much that teaspoon dose you had was as well, or an approximate at least?

Hey guys I have tried the pure Honokiol powder and it is for sure quite useful. I would use it and it would help me relax and just made me 'feel good and content.' I would say it is very useful, but it is kind of expensive, not terribly but not super cheap.. I would use around 500mgs of the stuff I had, which was 98% Honokiol

leftwing: Do NOT go using phenibut as any kind of anxiolytic or supplement. It's not much more useful than a recreational substance to be used the odd occasion. The friends i have that have abused it are still addicted - and can't sleep or eat without dosing at least once a day.

^yeah i've opted against ever getting phenibut, not too interested in it now.

cool, thanks for that. that backs up earlier where i stated i'd read reports of people taking 500mg doses.

Lefty, I'm going to go buy some Mulungu powder today from a certain jovial herbs vendor and try it out. I'll report back after administration. :)

Did that also today.

It's the CWE of Benzo's. Didn't last for very long, no real high, more just pleasant-ness. Me and my friend rather enjoyed it actually. Found my mental state to be quite confusing.

Do not consume if you expect to drive.

I dosed three heaping tea spoons of the powder around 5:30PM. I also experienced a confused mental state, felt really weird... I can see it working very well as a sleep aid.

Next up I might have to try honokiol and see if that works better for me as an anxiolytic.

I dosed 1 and a half, and it seemed to work better in that aspect, gonna try the higher dose soon. I don't mind a little confusion.

My jovial vendor didn't seem to stock honokiol but I didn't look all that hard into it.

Tried 5 teaspoons, definite tolerance increase.

Kinda feels like anti-histamine sedation but nicer. I constantly suffer from heart palpitations - anxiety. They increased over the come up in waves. Have now dulled down to the average level I experiencing while on any substance. Finding it slightly more difficult than usual to type.
I can't work out if its enjoyable or not, but I want more.

I might try this stuff again in a couple of days with a lesser dose, maybe 1 and a half tea spoons like you had Jake.

Then I might try combining it with codeine, see how that goes. :)

Definately seems interesting, I might have to try some of this stuff. Seems as far as cheap/legal highs go this might not be a bad one, and I am always looking for more sedatives to try out.

hey guys, thanks for the updates.

interesting notes on the confusion side effects, i'd like to hear more on that if it occurs when you redose. what/if anything would you relate it to? ie - dxm confusion, lsd confusion, serotonin syndrome confusion (i hope not! i'm sure you'd have said something:D) i don't particularly like the nmda confusion and not a huge fan of lsd or any psyches in particular really.

jake would you say your initial palpitations occured to to initial anxiety on dosing? it's common for me when using something new, especially if i haven't shot up for a while i have to stop and calm myself down because of the shakey hands i get. not a good mix;)

when i get more time tomorrow i'll have to have a refresher look on this to get a little more up to date again and possibly get my birthday safety suit and glasses out.

Nah, only got the palpitations on the re-dose. But that could be more due to an underlying anxeity condition.

It was unlike any confusion I have ever experienced.

The confusion was much less from re-dosing, however so was every other effect. To a pretty strong degree since I nearly tripled the dose and experienced lighter effects than the original dose.

It was kind of like a drunken and/or benzo confusion for me, but different as well... it wasn't too bad, I mainly put it down to being around some people and just wanting to relax but couldn't because I had to cook dinner... I'm pretty busy with work at the moment so not sure when I'll have time to try it again properly, maybe Monday.

Well as far as tolerance to Mulungu goes. I dont seem to have any after 3 doses in a week. But it sounds like you got some after redosing on the same day Jakeperson. I'm guessing that with more frequent long term use tolerance would increase??

With regard to the effects I would say that I was in a bit of a stupor. The sedating effects are definitely there but there is something else that seemed to make me a little bit euphoric or excitable. I wanted to do things but was too uncoordinated and sleepy when I tried to do them.

I will have to see if this is lessened at lower doses. So far Ive been having 1 dessert spoon at a time.

I have to add that I have only had this stuff at bedtime when I'm a bit sleepy anyway. It would be interesting to have it during the day to see if its any different.

The first time I used it I definitely found there was an exciting aspect to it.

Going to try tonight mixing with some codeine and see how it goes, will dose as the codeine has hit me, due to wanting my stomach to be as empty as possible.

Going to try some after work, hoping it serves the purpose of reducing my anxiety. Looking for an anxiety reducing slight sedative for work
