Anyway back on the advice wagon... I'm not sure how it works in your neck of the woods but where I live you get a free box of swabs (like 100 or something) whenever you visit a needle exchange (and exchange something presumably). I would recommend using these to wipe off the coating of the pill. Not only are they sterile but the alcohol evapourates really quickly so you don't have to worry about the pills gelling as much when you are crushing them.
