Has your doctor or pharmacist ever made a screw up in your favour

jollypecker some time I'm gonna be taking an extended vacation in your area...just long enough to get acquainted with a couple people %)

I was given too many boxes of the birth control pill once. That was exciting.
feel free for a free vacation with no sun but as much fun as u can make, we will need to use up your extras and mine plus oxys at the same time , as they say a day wasted aint a wasted day lol , might even get round to showing you some of Scotland!!

Once I was given a 70ml bottle of methadone instead of my then daily dose of 10ml because my name was very similar to the intended recipients' and the pharmacist just got us mixed up. Unfortunately i'm a very honest chap, so instead of necking it straight away, I kept it just in case the pharmacy contacted me - which they inevitably did, so the pharmacist drove round to my house to pick it up. I just hope he didn't check the specific gravity because it was a little watered down by that point ;)

On another occasion, I went to the pharmacy to buy some OTC co-codamol for a CWE, and noticed they'd put the 30/500's on display instead of 7.5/500's. Unfortunately, because of the one box per customer rule, I had to wait till later on before I could try and get some more - by which time they'd noticed their mistake. Bugger :sus:

Ive screwed them over when I switched doctors. Id have months of scrips from one doc and go to another. Id fill the scrips at different pharms and pay cash and end up with ALOT of extra bottles of pills. Fuck em.

Are you in the US? If so are you actually lucky enough to live in the one of only 3 states that doesn't have a prescription monitoring plan in place yet? Because in the US they ask for ID now for narcotics and there is only 3 states left that doesn't have the PMP in place yet. This prevents anyone from doing this anymore! 8(

oh yeah baby

112 blues . instead of 112 yellows was nice

Diazepam vials instead of pills

thats a couple

To prevent tall stories i rekon folk must give as much background as possible cos these mistakes usually happen for a reason .
I can explain both of those

1st one was because that Chemist had last dispensed me 10mg pills & obviously saw that on the computer & thought that they would be 10mg again .

2nd was a Dr. mistake & that was cos he was Rushing cos he was behind & had loads of patients waiting , i didn't notice that he had given me the Vials until i got to the chemist so rather than take it to that chemist t i took it to a different one where i used to get my Injectable Methadone cos they wouldn't question me having injectables .

I am supposed to be on weekly dispense, but today a stand in pharmacist gave me 168 tramadol, just saves me going back every week, not that I can get high off them :)

I either get them a day or so early, on the day, or a day or two late at present....
It's such a fuckin blag right now because of the new General Practice building being rebuilt which is going to take a year to complete!

And also I can't see a therapist because of the lack of the General Practice's rooms: There's a sort of slightly-high-tech portakabin in it's place.
But we're going to get back in touch after it's finished and just hope I don't deteriorate even further **crosses fingiz**

Fuckin 'ell sorry, I've derailed the threat again 8(

I believe pharmacists are adviced to check & double check before dispensing a medication. E.g. making sure they're not dispensing a bottle of 100 tablets instead of a bottle of 30 tablets (especially in countries where almost all medications are dispensed in their original manufacturer's packagings).

Yes big time. I once was given 2 full rx's of 120 30mg tabs of oxycodone. Thats 2 bottles of 120 30mg's of oxycodone. Pharmacy screw up and the happiest day of my life. I wont mention the pharmacy by name.

No, never had a pharmacy error in my favor, but they've either stolen or underdispensed my good meds before, cunts. I always count my pills now before leaving.

not really.. certainly had pharmacists stepping out of conventionality for me though. had opioids/benzo scripts handed out the window of a car to me on a local shop carpark after missing pickup. also still feel bad for swiping a half full bottle of liquid diazepam that was standing quite handily in the middle of the nearest shelf when i had been let in the back way after again missing closing time - why it wasnt in the dd box i have no idea. felt quite pleased with myself walking down the road swigging from the bottle, but like i said, feel a bit bad for breaking the guys trust now. but hey - liquid diazepam :D

They knew you were gonna swipe it, that's why it contained a radioactive trace element which means you can be tracked 24/7 for the rest of your life..:sus:

This was right before the regulation changes. Its crucial now. You cannot get shit filled early. At least hippa prevents docs from talking to one another without your consent and good luck getting me to sign that form. I got hospitalized for an abcess and my pain doc didnt get notified. I sure did notify them every car wreck I got in though. The pharm game sucks so bad these days I dont even wanna play. You get the fucking gel tabs which dont work it you swallow em. TRF means it just wont work. I like good old fashioned morphine and oxy myself but they wont cut you no slack on the fill dates. It lame cuz I mean if you depend on that shit to work your shit out of luck unless you hit up the D boys and well then your broke.

Was flirting with the pharm tech once i think she liked me cuz she gave me the wrong bag, it was loaded with goodies. This was way back in the day. I didnt want to take it back but i didnt want her to get in trouble. So i just took it back but there may have been some missing. I got my scrip and a date. She never got in trouble. Still see her but she is at a different pharm now. Sexy pharm techs make me drool:-)

Pharm tech girls are usually pretty sexy. They all have piercings and tattoos. I kinda wonder if they are users. They are just so perky. The rules these days suck and getting pills from pharm techs is most likely a thing of the past. All my hookups that worked at pharmacies got busted.

Funny you should say that, I've just been to pick up my script and overheard the pharmacist talking about some diamorphine that disappeared last week when he was on holiday and a locum was standing in... Hmmmm..

What relevance is the girl's religion?

Never had a screw up in my favour. Had a few against it though, like one time he wrote a prescription for half of the pain killers he had said he'd do, haha.
