Has your doctor or pharmacist ever made a screw up in your favour

OMG..lol...Brimz...I want to go to your pharmacist!

One time I was prescribed 3 Xanax to take during and before a procedure and the pharmacist gave me 30. I kept them.

Thays the only "good" screwup that has happened to me but here (but this is in the States so hope its ok with you guys I post) they publish a statewide newsletter from the Board of Pharmacy and it is published on the internet...every month I believe and in it the publish all the errors that were reported by pharmacies (no names of people of course just their title of who was at fault and what was done to prevent it from happening again).

One month I happened to look at it and many times that month they had mistakenly dispensed oxycodone immediate release 30mg (blue) when they were supposed to give oxycodone 5mg! It was different Walgreens (chain store pharmacies across US) across the state and their "robots" had been programmed incorrectly or the software screwed up and it was spitting out oxy 30s instead of 5's!

Of course, I would have been sooo happy but probably dangerous for some folks who had low tolerance if they took them and didn't know the difference right off.

(Since this in US. Just delete if not ok to post this here) :D

jollypecker some time I'm gonna be taking an extended vacation in your area...just long enough to get acquainted with a couple people %)

I was given too many boxes of the birth control pill once. That was exciting.

Last year when I went to pick my scripts up the chemist only had half my oxy(28 instead of 56), not a problem he said more would be in tomorrow.
Went back next day different chemist and he gave me a full box.=D

Did I fuck own up, could hardly keep the grin off my face. Every time I go in now I hope it happens again. ;)

LMAO!!

<sigh> Maybe one day that will happen to me.....or the robot will be my friend rather than work against me...
:\

Actually here if you choose to take a partial script fill (on narcotics) because they don't have enough, you forfeit the rest of your script. You better just come back when they have it or go to another pharmacy...absolutely ridiculous. (Not sure if just some states or if this is something fairly new cause I know in Florida they didn't use to do that)

my dad said there used to be a dodgy gp who used to give out scipts of dex amphet or qualludes =D that must of been nice ..

I received some sort of vagisil instead of some cream for a rash i had on my chest. Wasn't in my favour at all actually.

I know someone that on quite a few occasions has wrote a number 1 in front of 32 on their hand written 2mg clonazepam scripts!!!!!

That won't be happening much in the US anymore! Most states have passed new legislation that says number has to be written out in words too(in a way that you cannot add to it). DEA is pushing new standards for national use that will soon be the norm everywhere here.

I used to know someone who did that as often as they could also!
