Excellent :) We didn't really know each other, but it's always inspiring to hear that someone has made it out the other side!
 
Tekken needs to be very careful once he returns to Leeds... several acquintances who have gone down the same way say that avoiding relapses is often the trickiest bit. Anyway, well done and good luck :)
 
Well done. :) Unfortunate he wont be coming back but if he feels its for the better then stick at it.

Until he relapses. ;) Joking aside, I hope that's not the case. Add Treacle to the list of people that wish him well. Seven months is an impressive start.
 
I remember this thread being posted, pass my message of good luck in the future on to him. He's done very well so far.

7 months is truely impressive. The longest I've ever managed is 3 & i'm in my 2nd year of aftercare!
teKKen always reminded me of me when I was younger. Think it was his enthusiasim for psychedelics & regularity of his acid consumption more than anything else.

Fucking mad this, I remember first time actually pinning up gear was with tekken his aswell I think, and we both seemed to off gone of the batshit sprial in similar time periods. Except he's succeeded it seems after rehab where i've failed miserably :|. Good on him !
 
Always good to hear that someone who wasn't happy with what they were doing and where their life was going has had the gumption to do something about it.
All too rare to hear a success story these days.Well done to Tekken,good on ya mate.

it might also please yous to know he went to see Aphex Twin (if you know him, you'll know how much he jizzes re. AfX) at the WHP in Manc, SOBER! said it was one of the best nights of his life :)
 
Good for him, going to any gig sober is something I've rarely if ever done. Aphex Twins are absolutely epic live aswell seen them twice :)

Oi Rockstar, Aphex Twin is one bloke, a Mr Richard D James. However I've seen him live too, and it looked like there was more than one of him at the time 8(
 
I'm not sure why I put an 's' on the end of that. I guess it's the word twin usually ends with one hah
 
I think that's one of his mind games, he's a bit like that. I have heard he did actually start out with a partner but ditched him and kept the name. Might just be more of his bullshit but who cares when he makes such amazing music?
 
Hope all's still going well with Tekken, stumbled upon this thread randomly, I know some peeps are in touch with him etc, hope he's still clean n doing well n going to see warp/rephlex awesomeness sober! :D

Seemed like a real nice bloke when I met him like, I think he's got a lot to give with volunteering n that. :) Wish him well from me/us all, if he's coming up to the big 1 year clean he should be right pleased with himself.
