Glade- The Aftermath

Photos Part 1.

Glade was quality, despite the crappyness of the weather, my feet are still so very broken and sore, unfortunatly didn't particularly move from the camp site too much, but it was good getting fucked with good people.

Ahhh our wedding ceremony, we tried to get married but the church had deflated because of the weather so we got married in the back of a mooncup stall.... just how i'd always imagined it - so romantic haha

One massive regret is that I only seem to have photos of mud and djs. for some reason I completely neglected to take any photos of people!!!

I blame the slightly dodgy trip I had on friday that made me feel uncomfortable pretty much everywhere so I spent the beginning of the night walking around on my own!!!

A legend. At the rate he was going I was worried that would happen at a point. after G, ketamine and nitrous he curled up into a fetal position in his mates tent and I told them to make sure he stayed alive. He did. And went on strong for the rest of the festival. =D =D

Totally agree. me and a mate went in for the supposedly 'mad' bangface night, and the atmosphere absolutely sucked! Too many moody fuckers, not enough volume and dancing! Psy trance crew were well up for the whole weekend, unlike the so called 'wrong' fans. Oh yea, and breakcore is a aload of pretentious wank!

After midnight yes, but i was pleased with the sound in the liquid all the time, very chunky, albeit a little bass heavy at points.

Yes and no on this poine, we got quality clean MDMA for £30, on the first night, 2cb blanks which were great. There were loads of shite pills and K about though - glad i bought my own in. A amte Almost sold some acid to some geezer who we later realised was probably OB8o . thank god he couldn't find the stuff!

what a load of shit! the atmosphere was bad because the sound was terrible, the atmos at last years bangface kicked the arse of any other part of the 2006 fest!! breakcore is some of the least pretentious music there is, it doesnt take itself serious at all! sorry but what a load of shit.

anyways - had an amazing time despite all the problems already mentioned!

was good to meet a lot of you for the first time, and great to see some familiar faces again, what a spot on bunch of people! was a pleasure to camp with/spend time with everyone there. if possible i wouldnt mind getting some contact details for some of the people there, we should have some kind of exchange as there's a lot of people i'd like to keep in contact with that I dont have proper contact details for!

The sound levels were poor all round for the most point (notably the overkill stage for the whole time and everywhere later on) and it was an absolute mission to get around for the most point. There was a lot more dodgy gear being sold on site this year and a lot of fence jumpers. (although it seemed common sense that a yardie without a wristband wouldnt be selling high quality acid ;)). Had some amazing adventures and some of the most spectacular bullshit conversations of all time with some of the best people in the world so I really cant complain though.

Some highlights had to include:

  • Bastard Power Mk.II
  • MTGG giving the security what for
  • Origin stage on Sunday when the sun finally came up, fucking best buzz from a crowd, just amazing
  • mike - general company you are a fucking star, made the weekend for me again
  • meeting some of the people that i've been waiting to long to do so, why is it that all bluelighters are so good? hah. andy, paul, wendy, alex, tom and anyone else i hadn't met before you're all brilliant.
  • seeing all the bl crew again, some of whom i hadn't seen since last glade even!
  • randoms abandoning their mates and spending the weekend with us because we were so clearly better

there's so much more to say and so many more people to mention but my brain is still scattered and there's lots I need to remember!
