Glade- The Aftermath

That security episode really pissed me off, good thing MTGG tuned them what they needed to hear and didn't use his hands against them. I was so angry seeing that I was trembling with rage and kept well away.

As for contact details Evad, I'm alway available via PM and I've got your e-mail.

Some people I'd like to stay in contact with but don't have contact details:

- The guy with the cowboy hat who stayed in Paul and Andy's tent
- that mate of tranced who kept tellimg me to get on facebook and always had a smile on his face
- Paul's housemate, I've forgotten her name
- jasper(carsick)
- The friendly mate of Mike who got earplugs for me
- All(what's your name bru, I know I've asked you that 100 times)
- friend of tom(felixonapedestal), Michelle

Muchos hugs to all of you!!!!!! I'm really impressed with ya all, the vibe, the love of good music, your individuality and high spirits, this festival has been good me to me in more ways than one. Even though the comedown is hittimg me hard I've got a song in my spirit that I thought I'd lost a while back! =D *more hugs*

I'd be all for planning well in advance another festival, Boom in Portugal next year. My idea is to buy an old Mercedes truck/van load it up with everything we could posibly need and roadtrip down there prepared for everything.

Hmmm, sounds interesting! I'm currently thinking of making plans to save what money i can in future which would mean having a good break from drugs so i can get to one of these festivals, when is that festival Tyler?

Dave, I trekked back to London with fanny, she was a star. She got all my stuff together when I was too tired/wasted to do anything. We exchanged contact details but I lost the piece of paper, I'm gutted!!!! I really just hope she contacts me.

I had a great weekend on the whole, definitely glad I went

Friday was a bit of an endurance test, I spent 40 minutes queuing in the rain for wellies, then decided i couldn’t take it anymore. Me nd john took shelter in a tea tent until the rain eased off and were considering spending the day at a pub in Thatcham. The festival site seemed a lot squashed together this year, and accommodating 3 new stages meant that some were reduced in size, the origin stage was about half the capacity, and the overkill tent was tiny. The whole thing seemed put together at the last minute, which I guess is down to the hassle they had getting the license, giving them less time to sort things out properly. I was gutted the origin stage flooded, i was really lookin forward to seeing OOOD, shame they were first on:( . There was nothing the organisers could really do about it until the rain stopped and I think they deserve some credit for getting all the stages up and running by friday evening.

Saturday was a bit better, i'd passed the point of caring about muddy feet and my shoes were well and truly ruined so i just went for it in the mud. Missioned down to ID-Spiral saturday morning to see OTT,which was definately one of the highlights (the sun came out for 'smoked glass and chrome'=D), and actually being able to sit on dry carpet next to the stage smoking some decent hash was much needed after the day before. The rest of the afternoon was spent at origin splashing around in the mud. I was a bit disappointed with the décor, it didnt seem as impressive as last year, and some some places you stood in the sound wasn’t in sync. There was a crowd of people at the back directing passers by towards a hole in the ground filled with mud, then laughing when they ended up knee deep. Despite the poor conditions everyone was still up for it and did well keeping the morale up.

Sunday was probably the best day, sunny, hot weather and a proper glade atmosphere. Like last year I spent most of the day at origin, this time armed with ‘super froth guns’
bubblegin.jpg
blowing bubbles with MTGG, who looked like he was loving it, again another highlight.

All in all it could have been so much better. Though I guess even if the weather had been good, the volume/sound issues would have still put a downer on it, but you get out what you put in, and it was good to see everyone making the most of it. Everyone I met gets massive hugs all round, I hope you’re all recovering well and hope to see yous again in the near future.

I had an absolute ball at the Glade. The rain only made the sunshine infinitely better when it came, allowing that to get you down just means you really missed out.
The only negative aspect of it to me was seeing venetian snares. I was so disappointed. I really love some of his music and was just dismayed to see that he was such a dickhead. I don't care how good he can be, no-one starts a set by slagging off someone else. Especially when the guy was still on the stage. He really fucking blew it. And yeah as someone else said, breakcore and the breakcore crowd can be fucking pretentious.

But stomping barefoot in the mud at origin in the blazing sun was awesome.
Highlights - Origin generally was awesome
Four Tet on sunday - looking back out of the tent to see the sunlight
streaking past everyone was magical.

yea, vet snares was just being a complete dick. he was like "england sucks!" and sneering "lets rave quietly now". I bet all the djs were dissapointed by the sound, but they just soldier on like the rest of us. Snares just got rinsed though cause the gabber/hardcore after him was alsolutely sick. ripped up the place hard! fuck VS

his set was sabotaged did you not read that thread linked to? the sound engineer was only feeding highs through to his monitors, he's said personally the last thing he wanted was to piss the crowd off.

the sound on the overkill made everything unlistenable (to me anyway)

I've done a big write up - shall I post it here or in a new thread?
if a new thread, which forum? Drug Discussion or events?
Fank yoooo!
