🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

I actually do identify as British. I was born and brought up here.

What I believe that nobody mentions is the Islamic attitude to sex. It's totally unnatural, and totally geared to men when they do finally get married and all of that.

Sexist bullshit. Which is only going to create misogyny and all this shit.

And if a non-muslim woman is fair game, then that's practically subhuman.

Fuck the sand prophet and all sand prophets.

To be fair, the other desert religions - arguably the vast majority of religions in fact - are highly patriarchal. Fundamentalist Jews fuck through a hole in a sheet. Fundamentalist Christians consider women completely subservient at best. Fundamentalist Islam is just as bad, obviously.

Not all religious people are fundamentalist though. It’s a spectrum. I just feel that Muslims are held to a different standard - that their version of patriarchy is somehow fundamentally different and worse than (frankly) more white flavours of “sand prophets” believers.

That connotes underlying racism towards brown people above and beyond simple distrust of religious zealots.

The vast majority of Muslims I’ve known are neither extremely religious nor completely secular. They’re in that C of E-style, vaguely observant, mostly just one or two holidays, camp that the majority of “White British” tend to lie.

But, on the religious side - doubly so the patriarchal aspect - fuck all the Abrahamic religions and the talking donkeys they rode in on :p

I have several Muslim friends. I have no idea how they hold to their beliefs. Most of them are sound, kind and rational.

There's a possibility that Islam could fully modernise, but it's effectively been locked against that.

I honestly don’t believe that Islam will “modernise” any more than the other Abrahamics.

Judaism modernises only as far as its territorial desires necessitate. Christianity no more than its profit margins necessitate.

Islam struggles in this regard, imo, because it adheres far closer to the financial dictates of the religion whilst largely existing in two very different modes: Middle Eastern fundamentalist states and Western secularised diaspora.

They’re kinda stuck betwixt and between.

Obviously the only sensible answer is to string up all religious people by the gonads. But apparently I’m a liberal snowflake for suggesting that is a better solution than unending culture wars and literal genocide 8o

I've been a bit troubled at the Hamas situation. I can understand the sentiment, but not the reality, and the fact they killed more civilians than one day -ONE DAY than all Irish republican and loyalist paramilitaries combined tells a story. What were they hoping to achieve?

Go on. Tell me what the October the 7th attacks were meant to achieve.

I'm obviously a Zionist now.

I actually think that’s highly :sus: too.

Mossad obviously keep very close tabs on Hamas activity and I simply do not believe they just missed this entire plot.

I strongly suspect Hamas did what Hamas has consistently tried to do with Israeli intelligence having precise knowledge of what was about to happen.

October 7th was a disgusting act… that I very strongly suspect was allowed to go ahead purely to “justify” genocide.

Two wrongs definitely don’t make a right. In this case there were definitely two wrongs :|

To your other point, if the IRA (or any subgroup thereof) had committed Oct 7 level of attack, I strongly suspect the Republic would’ve been Cromwelled again. Would that result in any “wins”?

They're probably swapping Instagram pics with their handlers. It's getting very hard for a physical force Republican organisation to exist.

Not the arms nor the training.

I mean who the fuck in their right mind comes from a Gay Chem-sex party, passes out in the car & gets caught with 50 odd gram of Meth FFS.
They were all dumb as fuck imho, the only one I could respect was the Mexican / American guy who had the Mexican Cartel connection, the idiot who gets raided last is clearly not cut out for the job.

When you ask someone who has Mexican Narco connections "Will my wife & kids be safe?" you are 100% fucking dumb imho.
I feel like i know quite a few people who make similar choices

[Boring to most, but need to vent]

So WiFi girl returns from her travels. Landlord says it'll be fixed today (yesterday). Presumably by her.

Turned out she knew about the problem and just fucked off. She told me she'd 'try to get it to work again'. Still no WiFi. So I have to go through the landlord's complaint system again (we can't just phone).

Why not just get it fixed rather than wait for someone else to intervene when the router is in your fucking flat? Someone's going to complain eventually. Why not tell the landlord while he's here that there's a problem?

I'm going through mobile data like a crack addict with a couple of grand.

And at this time of year too, so probably not fixed for days now.

OK thanks @Shambles, I get you with your explanation of my example.

But as per your own post above I think I would also struggle to know where to draw the line in every or all cases. I was previously admiring your clarity about where to draw the line, but then you admitted that you're just as human as the rest of us . It does get tricky in some cases, and the more you think about it, the more tricky it can become in some cases. I guess or hope it will become kind of instinctive. But that wont be good enough if proper explanations are required.

It's kind of useful to see my own prejudices and / or communication deficits highlighted, regarding this, and it's a relatively easy self-improvement action to try to remember to correct this in future.
it is important to remember that even if one did produce some content that was later moderated, it doesn't render one failure or anything. We are all figuring things out as we go, just like in live situations sometimes people draw boundaries and that's how it should work, it is just interaction 101.

Hell yeah. I get moderated still to this day. Just is what it is.

I swear to God I agree with Bukowski "I do not like the human race"
Just seen a Woman who is blind, got a stick & walking like she has been on Moonshine & Pre-gabs due to the ice all over the floor, I asked her if she was after the Tesco & she said yes, I took her hand & guided her to the entry & everyone was looking at me like I am some fucking idiot!!!!!

The Woman is fucking blind FFS, she CANNOT SEE hence why she has a huge stick, the floor is covered in black ice & normal ice, it's a Cunts behaviour to NOT help the poor woman ffs.

I really do hate people so much, they would be nervous if they can't see anything & gotta walk around on Ice FFS.

Icy pavements are the first thing I'd send to Hell given the chance.

Imagine doing it blind. Fucking hell. Well done to you, sir.
A Chaos Magick group i was once part of had a kind of "Ritual" you had to do, for 24 hours you had to stay in your house but cover up your eyes so you were 100% blind, if you wanted to go out shopping etc you were free to do so but it wasn't suggested you do it.

Just to walk around inside a small flat I know well with no sight was quite an experience, I banged into stuff all the time, stepped on plugs, spilt drinks all over me, failed to open any cans, it was a living hell & I have to admit I didn't last 24 hours, I was so glad to stop it.

Since that experience I have always felt way more for the blind, I welcome anyone to do just 8 hours in their own home without being able to see, you think it's easy till you try it.

I have seen these places where people go & stay in the dark for a few days, it's something I wouldn't be able to do.

The material, 'grippyness', amount of 'tread', overall design etc of your footwear's sole makes a huge difference though.

I set out today in my normal work shoes which was like shuffling along on an ice rink, and no way would I have been able to do my job safely. As usual I was in way too much of a rush this morning to have realised how widespread those treacherous conditions would be today, and that my usual footwear would be worse than useless.

Fortunately for me, it looked like a few people have resigned or been fired from work recently as the returned workwear area had a good choice of second hand returned footwear to choose from. I was lucky to find a pair in my size that had good soles on them, and I'm not too proud to wear someone else's knackered old work shoes, they ended up having way more grip than mine did. Although I nearly came a cropper on a surface that was literally polished granite, and it also had some ice on top of it, that I did not see. I did slip slightly, and could have cracked my head nicely open slipping any worse than that, but the Gods must have decided not today, for those that believe in that sort of thing.
