๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

I actually forgot about this, but a mixed race girl in my little group of friends back in the day decided to dress up as Al Jolson for the evening. So a mixed race girl blacked up.

We were part of a pretty white scene, so no problems were foreseen. Until an actual black girl shows up. The tension was horrible. I'm pretty sure she knew the blacked up girl was mixed race, but it was NOT appreciated.

I've been looking forward to some postal diazepam all weekend, I open the packet and discover that they've sent me DHC instead

This is the one thing I didn't want to happen

Personally Iโ€™d consider that a major win but then I never really โ€œgotโ€ benzos recreationallyโ€ฆ yet somehow I still became addicted for many years 8(

Matt Lucas and David Walliams were doing it well into the 2000s with little Britain and come fly with me.

I remember Lucas saying he regretted it in a more recent interview and I imagine walliams will have said similar seeing as they're both going for a more family friendly image these days.

Yeah, I despised Little Britain. Just couldn't laugh at any of it. And the way the catchphrases caught on made it extra annoying. "Computer says no"? Fuck you!

I've just had a first; went out to get some cigars and there's a young person (probably 21 at the most) in the hallway trying to read a meter. Just moved into the flat above. We only chatted briefly, but they made their pronouns clear. Which is fair enough because I saw a 6' bloke with long hair, but I was actually speaking to Lola (she /her).

It was probably more to do with the fact that she looks like a tall bloke with long hair that she had to make it clear, rather than pushing any sociopolitical agenda.

I didn't mention the Kinks song because I don't know whether that's 'cancelled' these days!

I liked Little Britain, but I found The Fast Show and it's catch phrases super annoying.

"Suits you Sir!"

It was incredible how many times some people (one of them being my boss at the time) could say that, and still think it was funny every time.

When it never was, even the very first time. :roll eyes:

The person you just met sounds like they must have been pre-surgery and pre w/e meds it is they take to transform their bodies from masculine to feminine shapes.

It's a cruel trick to play on heterosexual men, when you see and admire a fine feminine shapely rear and nice curves, and then they turn round and it's a bloke!

I'm generally into women of about 5'5" maximum, so it's not a regular problem for me. I'm more disappointed if it's a good looking woman who's too tall. What a waste!

But it's no problem whatever status she's at medically. Be happy within yourself. I'm wondering whether I was expected to give my pronouns in return, but I'm a weathered and grizzled bloke in a military parka and a train driver's cap with a deep voice, so it was probably just a case of 'default'.

Tbf, thatโ€™s just the Bernard Manning defenceโ€ฆ itโ€™s a shitty defence for abject racism like literal blackfaceโ€ฆ
Jim Davidson was along similar lines when he stated at some point just as he was falling out of favour, and about to be cancelled by mainstream broadcasters, that he 'takes the mickey out of everyone. What's so special about black people, that he can't take the mickey out of them?"

I mean I could see his point, to a certain extent. Well, I could when he said that, back in the day, but how much have times have changed since then!?

But I'd like to see some of his stand up routines featuring black characters called "Chalky" again, and get to assess them afresh. Rather than having to rely on my memory from around 40 years ago, when such gags were perfectly acceptable and highly popular prime time Saturday night TV viewing.

Chalky White. Fucking hell.

I remember him telling a story - in recent years - that Ian Wright passed him by on a road playing 'black music' in his car whilst he was listening to Emerson, Lake and Palmer ('white music'). According to Davidson, Wright stopped by him and asked why he doesn't do Chalky White anymore. The story was obvious bullshit. Excruciating.

People ain't waste and they ain't existing for everyone but for people they are interested in.
Ah, I say 'a waste', but I'm sure the women over 5'5" probably aren't craving my 5'8.5" form anyway. I just like small women and can't really help it.

I did have a girlfriend who was nearly the same height, and she was fond of heels, so I often had to look up.

EDIT: But I'd go as high as 5'10" as long as she was pretty, well read, her grammar was impeccable, could roll a joint and she liked morning drinking.

It'll be quite a rare female to meet such exacting criteria. You didn't specify any age range, body type, or hair length preferences.

I think my preferences could be summed up by the phrase, 'hippy type' and / or w/e the modern day equivalent for that is called.

I let one such person slip away from me in a previous place of work, even though there were many suggestions and hints that we might have been a good match.

I guess at that time, I felt like too many of my issues were far too unresolved and not even understood, so I wouldn't have wanted to burden anyone with all that at the time.

And I haven't crossed paths with anyone else like that since. Although I don't go out looking, either IRL or online.

Long hair usually (dark red is nice, but not essential. Blonde is also very good). Shorter hair is definitely acceptable.

Slim, but not necessarily skinny.

Age range? That's a difficult one. I'm at an age where my ideal would be a little bit creepy, but I obviously still look. Last age difference was sixteen years my junior, and that was probably a bit inappropriate.

And boobs are always a plus, but not essential. To be honest though, I've come to be very fond of my own company, so they'd have to know when to do one.

Yeah I'm very comfortable in my own company too.

In other matters, I've just had a couple of days off methylphenidate, and I have been so much more motivated to get household management type things done. Which is the polar opposite of what I was expecting.

The medication did help me with work for quite some time, but for some reason it made my home management considerably worse.

It may be that it's the wrong medication for me. I may try Lisdexamfetamine and see if that suits me any better as an all rounder.

Oh man, don't make me salivate over prescription stims. If I thought I could get a script myself I'd be right in there, but my medical records are pretty 'dirty'. I'd kill for a few dexys though. Possibly my favourite drug. The NHS just gives me three miserable substances in the hope that it'll stick at some point.

How come you missed two days?
