I was really confused first when this language was re-introduced globally, but it makes sense after all and has acceptable risk of misunderstandings.

I mean, I misunderstood it first before concept was explained to me.

Thanks for explaining the 'they / them' thing, that makes a lot more sense now.

Sorry but I don't understand your first sentence though.

If "pronouns are words that substitute for nouns or noun phrases, helping to avoid repetition in sentences. Common examples include "he," "she," "it," "they," and "you" " I don't get why "he/she" is bizarre.

Because they don't use them together. I've never heard anyone claim to be of both genders

So, people use 'he and him', or 'she and her' but not 'he and she'.

That's just the way they list their pronouns. I used to work for an organisation where I had to specify my pronouns in my email signature, so I put 'He/Him'

I'm sure you get it now

It's a combination of never being told no when they were growing up, and never being hit in the face. I'm sure you've all seen videos of someone acting a Karen, someone's had enough and they get twatted in the face, it's like a full on factory reset for them.

If that had happened from an early age, they'd be a different person entirely. Also, just because you're ugly, have no job, no friends and no life skills, doesn't mean you're a different gender.
 
I was born white for sure. Probably Anglo-Saxon (at least in the pop culture meaning, that term is deprecated in academia) and I guess technically Protestant cos I did go to a CofE school… so no problem on the racial profiling, Fubz! =D

I will, however, push back on the rampant transphobia in this thread…

Why does anybody care - it even wonder - what is (or was) contained in the undercrackers of other people? Genuine question. Personally I literally could not care less. Just cos some folks here are obsessed with the trans D doesn’t make it normal amongst the rest of us ;)

As for pronouns, also could truly not give less of a shit. Did I get your pronouns wrong? Oh, okay, I’ll get them right in future. Just don’t see how it’s so much of a difficulty for folk 🥱

As far as I can tell “owning what you are” is quite literally the entire point of the LGBTQ movement. Alongside encouraging others to accept the reality of others’ lives, of course.

I don’t for one moment think you are transphobic - just an auld geezer like me ;) - but the tone of a few other posts has been kinda icky imo.

If you want to play "I pretend to be" crack on, just don't expect me or others to also play along. And get the fuck out of women's spaces. Yes there are trans female to male, they're not the ones kicking up a fuss about getting into the changing rooms.

Even worse is the deluded cunts getting kids and having babies suck on bolt on tits, tell me that's not warped.

Which mod edited my post, I'd like to know which one doesn't have an issue with actual men in women's spaces and encouraging actual paedophilia.. Be brave now.
