It is if you follow all the dim-cultural and commercial 'requirements' yeahSuch an expensive time pf year.
Lil one wants to go to a Halloween party so she needs a costume. And our local bom fire is charging £5 a head to get in. Tha(t's £10 out of pocket. Then Christmas round the corner.![]()
I was a single parent (pretty much anyway, mainy) and when broke when kids were little we'd make halloween costumes and not spend much at christmas at all. And would always go to friends on bonfire (no such thing as a bomfire afaik) night or have a fire in the garden , or go to a free one somewhere.
I made it superfun anyway and they didn't mind at all and it taught them some realism and vaulable life lessons
