I think @Jackal 's point is the Israeli's have murdered many innocent Palestinian's for years. They even killed 200+ Palestinian's yesterday immediately after, yet all the focus is on a Hamas attack. Was the media really covering it when all the innocent Palestinian's were being killed?

For many, it is kind of hard to feel sorry for the Israeli's at this point, when they have literally obliterated nearly all of Palestine. Now they are the ones crying wolf.
 
I agree. I would just prefer not seeing it getting bloodlusty while I understand the appeal and I am emotioning creature with power fantasies also. Executing civilians is doing nothing for the cause.

And like any issue which goes way back in history NO SIDE is innocent to say the least. I can promise you the average Jew & Arab in the street wants Peace, to feel at ease taking their children to play or walk them to school etc.
My friend has Muslims living on the same street & some Arabic women were hidden away also Incase IDF or members of the public decided to start shooting at the house or rape the females in the house.

My Grandad had PTSD due to dealing with IRA bombs, his last ever job was on the Birmingham Pub bombing, he told me he had nightmares about a young girl no more than 7 who was blown to pieces & he picked up her arms, her head had come off & her head fell apart with her brain falling out of the 60% skull that was left over.
When a grown man who served in WW2 & watched his best friend burn to death from a bomb hitting a petrol supply yet it's a dead girl that broke his mind is TRAGIC.

I want to visit South Ireland without having to wonder if I will be punched in the face for the horrific crime of being born on a small island through NO choice of my own.

It's really hard to overcome a person's place of birth & religion, it's really hard to look past skin colour as it needs someone to actually think with logic for a moment & I know that's really tough...... but at least try it for a day, you'll be shocked at the effects it has on the mind.

My philosophy is sadly very rare, so many people use xxx as an excuse to hate others, so many people say they are truly Liberal but they hide behind whatever box they choose to sit on & spray hate onto others.

I think to say no side is innocent is true but come on mate. One side started this war. One side has suffered 23x as many losses as the other. One side is living in an apartheid regime and having all their land taken.

I am truly sorry to hear what happened to your friend. However i don't belive for one second 98% of Israeli's want peace with Palestine, and definitely not without having all their land first. Which means the end of Palestine. Maybe your friend wants that, but on the whole by their religious beliefs this is quite unlikely.

The whole thing is a sorry situation which dates back to the previous world wars and promises the international community made, which they shouldn't have done.

I think maybe you should sober and re read what i was saying. At no point have i said i agree with what Hamas did, quite the contrary the whole conflict is a sorry situation.

It seems to me like you have an Israeli friend. And thus don't want to actually take into account the bigger picture of what's happening over there. Not like there was an air strike right after in Gaza yesterday also killing loads of innocent citizens. You also completely ignored the fact ALL, not just one that happens to be my mate, ALL Palestinians are being forced to live in apartheid regime where every single aspect of their lives is controlled.

I wonder if i killed your mother and father, would you be so passive about not wanting to fight back... I don't think doing a couple of hits of acid would help find the level of 'enlightenment' to make that ok somehow.

I'm putting you on ignore now because I don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth or your complete lack of understanding in general to be honest.

Of course we can not do that. In that sense, telling someone "just don't do violence/abuse/exploitment" does not work out very well if everyone is not on board.
