I don't know about the isles but here much more to east and bit more to north, I don't think the proper season has started yet, even if some odd shrooms have emerged from the ground here already, but I am gonna wait for more consistent cool days before even trying to find trip fungi fruits. And much more rain.

It's bit early here too. End of September start of October is peak season I think. When it's starting to cool but before the first frost. Do you get cubes out there too or is it just libs?

it is libs and some trash fungi that have maybe at most 20 % psilo content of liberty caps in Finland.

And the line of proper yield seems to extract towards north with climate change, but last year was damn good and I got two very good heavy trips of all the harvest. And I live in the south.

Couldn't remember if it was just the UK that doesn't have wild psilocybe cubensis or mainland Europe too. I've never actually tried liberty caps. I've been looking for them the last couple of years and just got unlucky I guess.
 
There are years and there are spots, I can' talk about local culture but they can be suddenly found from the places you haven't seen them lately! good luck!

my understanding is that cubensis are in the american continent and liberty caps are in the european continent
 
Speaking of classic psychs., those penny acids I had stashed for 8 years turned out to work superbly after I tried 2 on Friday evening. I have a windowpane of exactly 20 100mcg tabs left in a perfect 4x4 display with the complete 1P-LSD molecule diagram still intact on the back. Not sure I need to go picking this year with those still about.

BL painting party at your house? I ducking hate painting and decorating too, so I am normally wrecked when doing so to make it more fun. Also, get one of those rectangular sponges attached to a plastic handle. Makes cutting out so so so much easier!

I am looking forward to this season. Last year was a total wash out due to too much rain.

In the good old days, I used to pick them from my school playing field at break times. But that was when they grew everywhere - roadside verges, people's lawns, parks, golf courses etc.

Nowadays, you have to take a day trip into the hills to retrieve a few rancid maggot infested specimens.


World's gone to shit.
