I had a close friend living in Dublin during the mostly soap bar era and he was complaining towards the end that there was a lot of Skunk starting to appear that had something that resembled tiny glass beads covering it to make it look like it had shiny trichchomes. He claimed that it actually hurt his lungs smoking that sprayed skunk...

I remember that stuff well, if I remember correctly it was sprayed with some kind of silica sand, it was all over the UK & was horrible to smoke.

That was a time when i walked away from weed for years due to that cut, sadly I began smoking way more Heroin.

I dunno if it was just an urban myth, but I also heard or read dealers were smashing light bulbs over weed to mke it look extra strong. I never actually got any though.
I did get some soapbar (or tack as it was known here) that totally smelled like shit. Looking back, it was absolutely cut with horse/camel/donkey shit of course we smoked every last bit as well.

...I remember pulling a piece of plastic bag from the middle of a Q of soapbar, that when opened out, was the size of my hand. True story.

Shall the methylphenidate maintain my upright position. I wish someone will feed me some benzo in the end tail of the experience.

And some people have been there for 16 hours already, I am just starting to roll there! Fucking mad lads!

I've just ordered a 8th of the finest cheapest hash the darknet has to offer. I'm tempering my expectations accordingly based on the comments here but I'm still a little bit excited. I haven't had hash in years and years and I normally just vape cheap shake so this should be a treat. Last time I had any was c2010 when a co worker was bringing it back from Italy. Squidgy black stuff very aromatic. We'd normally roll it into a sausage and pop it in a joint with some tobacco.

As I don't generally smoke these days any recommendations on how best to get it in me? I have a dry herb vape and a wax pen that I normally use for vaping dmt. If I just crumble the hash into some bud and put that in my DHV will that work or am I better off vaping the hash alone in the wax pen or just biting the bullet and mixing it into a joint?

I had a dealer doing this around 2009. You could tell something was up because as soon as the nugs dried out they were as hard as rocks.

EDIT unless it's a super-high-quality affair it won't work in a vape. I'd recommened a little pipe so you don't have to mix with tobacco

I'll keep my expectations in check. It wasn't quite the cheapest l could find, just the cheapest one of the largest vendors had in stock. I've seen budget hash going for half the price of regular flower and this cost gram for gram about the same as some regular mid range flower so we'll see. I've just ordered myself a little pipe to go along with it

Thursday it's meant to be Thunder & Lightning then going into the wk/end & early next week the Mercury is meant to be going back up to the very high 20's / low 30's.

Slept with all the windows open yesterday but it didn't drop below 14*C all night which was too much for me, alongside terrible quality Heroin I was tossing & turning all night due to the heat. I knew my garden was some "nightclub" for the local Fox's but with the windows open any noise in the garden is quite loud & for a good 90 minutes the garden became some kinda Studio 54 for the local animals, I ended up shouting at them to "Shut The Fuck up" & threw some water out the window at random with the hope it would get them to shut up & go away, it did seem to work but around 4.15am something fell off the fence into the bins & caused such a noise I was awake again & couldn't get back to sleep.

What time do the trains start up in the morning?

I have regressed into haggard sobbing and whimpering. I might have a bit of fever, even. This might turn even worse from here on.

I haven't been really this ill (of infection) at least for half a year, so in that sense this is just part of due humanity I am supposed to go through (but definitely won't do that sober).

If it just wasn't covid, it would be great. If that was the case, I'd expect it to get worse and also have more lingering after effects. I got asthma from my first COVID, mind you. At least I don't have Lyme rash.

One simply does not quit punk rock festivals healthy and well.

Cheap and cheerful way of keeping cold, wet ya socks, whack 'em in the freezer for half an hour, put 'em on. If your feet are cold, the body follows. Might be just enough to allow you to fall asleep.
