Gibberings episode CXCVI -- I'm on my cycle, who wants a backie?

Well the week is finally over - let the weekend begin.

Cooking later, not sure what as husband is shopping and he'll bring in what he fancies being cooked (probably be a curry or deep fried chicken). It's his birthday tomorrow so were out for a meal (going for Sri Lankan food) - not a cuisine I'm familiar with so looking forward for that.

So that'll be rotis and a curry. :)

Hey I wouldn't complain. I lived on roti and curry (and fruit) when I was in Sri Lanka.

Hey SHM I trust that you are well.

Yeah its going to be curry with carbs (bread / rice) - I know that the cuisine uses a lot of spices (compared to Indian) so looking forward to sample what they have. It's a very popular place and on a Friday they do a buffet of all the popular dishes - I thought that was the best way to be able to sample a lot of dishes. I know that the buffets are normally mellowed down to suit the masses but still gives you a good idea.

Good man, thanks for asking. Reminded me, we also had a brilliant cook at one place. These pics don't do justice but you get the idea (and hey! no roti or curry)

Cue Twilight Zone music...hey, it was you who sent me there girl. For which I am forever grateful. <3

I even spent an hour this afternoon watching an elephant documentary based in the park we went on safari in.

Sri Lanka day all round.
 
I loved the food in Sri Lanka. The dals they put on were the perfect hangover food - easy to get down, delicious and filling. I'd do something similar for breakfast every day if I could be arsed cooking it the night before. Best fish curry I've ever had was in Goa, though (but I also had some awful food in Goa,)

Actually it was a Goan style curry I made with that beast whilst camping. Freshly caught that morning off the Isle of Arran =D
 
right out of here i can't sit drinking coke at £1.20 a small glass that's food money so i will catch you all later at some point and as always thanks carrying about this fuck up called foolsgold

Hah. If you must use the term "glamping", then I suppose it fits. :p

We went camping on the Isle of Arran. The photo is a lobster which was bought that morning from the campsite owner, who'd caught it in his little boat.

The internet in text form. Just like the old days. :D
