Sigh, why was alcohol stopped in the US for quite a few years, it was nothing to do with public harm shall we say.

Well surely, experience is a major factor in formulating opinion? We can read as many scientific studies as we wish but if they conflict with our own direct experience, it's hard beyond reason to move away from the subjective...
I knew you'd come round.![]()
Yes well why was it stopped?

Because something that gives comedowns, admitted by people here (before people start with the 'you've no experience so no right to a say'), anxiety n paranoia, admitted by others here, would not benefit people with mental ill-health.
Some people here come across as extremely arrogant n think they know more than professionals. Then why are they not a professional instead of slagging them off here. It really irks me.

Aye, it doesn't look great when the same thing you're using to help people with mental health difficulties is being necked by the 100s of mg by people wanting to get off their tits and people start getting on their moral and political high horse. MDMA is fairly damn safe when used properly and you've got the legit stuff and the comedown at a therapeutic dose would be negligble if managed properly. Hell, just look at all the people who are fastidious about their 'pre-loading' routines. I think it's ridiculous the extent of it, but there's summat to it no doubt. Look at how medical marijuana is becoming more and more widespread, in a country which into the middle of last century was screaming about the 'demon weed'. Is all context.
Was MDMA therapy ever that widespread, actually? I can't say I've read much about it, never interested me in the same way therapy with psilocybin was looked at
Yeah, you'd think if ever there was a use for it, it would have been then. Cool to see people looking into it more now though, definitely not something that should be overlooked just cos of the connotations etc
Yup, few drugs seem to be devoid of side effects but it's the ones that have the good side effects that seem to get magicked away. A slightly related thing that pisses me off: 'SSRI Discontinuation Syndrome'. Call it what it is. It's worse than a fucking speed or MDMA comedown for sure and I've had one doctor tell me that they simply don't have any withdrawals at all.

eve, it was used for therapy way before 'fun' use
Because people were using it for fun.Yes well why was it stopped?
It's almost like there's a pattern to this shit for some reason.
if I was to "use my degree" I wouldn't agree with antidessants for obvious reasons; there's no blood tests for depression etcetc
But I'm a hypocrite n take them so......
