@Shambles ah that would be great if I can get my tooth sorted out for free. Its only been the worry about the cost that has put me off from getting it sorted out sooner.
Spent yesterday on Twitter contacting a lot of companies who use people on workfare and letting them know what bad PR it is for them.
They were getting a lot of messages from folk on Twitter as there is quite a big anti workfare movement happening at the moment.

Same here.I spent around £25 on some clippers for my hair as I keep my hair less than grade one all the time and I have a thing like my hair clippers but it's for facial hair and you can set the length on it for how long you want yr stubble to be or set it to zero and go for the clean shaven look.
Has saved me loads of cash over the years.

Yeah my head hair grows at a stupid rate aswell, have some clippers and just always do it myself as I like it short. Saves like £10 every 2-3 weeks to get a haircut, its because I use to cut it so often that it grows so thick now. Even if I wanted to have it long it looks so silly, like a number 3 on me looks like a 6 on most people, just grows out, bushy and thick so short is the only option. My arsehole has been described as like someones thrown a dart at a bears back, I am a hairy boy.

@maxa if you end up having to pay for it you can always just pull the old Ive left my wallet in the car on your final visit, the dentist are hardly the most fearsome of debt collectors. Ofcourse though you can never return

hmm, something to look into, all the previous electric shavers I've used have had a horrible pull your hair out factor that I hated, I guess I just had cheaper shitter ones. Where did you get yours from max? online or the high street? as that sound a bargain for what it does.

I think I got mine from Tescos but I've also seen the same ones or similar in Argos and Boots.
I used to like wet shaving but since changing over I much prefer the electric trimmer as it is so quick and easy to use and it has the added benefit of not having to keep buying expensive blades and shaving gel.

1 blade = ouchies for me though. I recently HAD to try and shave a thickening beard with a 1 blade bic and got through about 4 bics before I had gotten halfway because they were so useless, I guess if you are shaving everyday then it's not so bad, but I normally shave once a week or two.

Lady shaves are extortionate, just for being in pink and having a 'curved' handle.

mugz admittedly they are a bit hit and miss. Some of them out of the pack are just plain blunt. Even though 9 bics for £1.40 is still a bit of a bargain. They are better for clean shaven maintenance as opposed to full facial grooming.

Haircuts are the biggy, we used to get a woman round and she'd cut my hair for £4. I know how can she survive? The forty quid off me missus she also takes with her.

Not exactly a like for like but on the grounds it's an 'essential' I think you'll find women get ripped off far more for tampax. Not to mention haircuts.

Womens hairdressers are ridiculously overpriced but they do seem to get good service.
I remember once me and my mate were in the pub while my wife was having her hair done just up the road from us.
After she had been gone for about an hour or so we went in to see her and she was sat having her hair done with a big glass of red wine in her hand. Never got offered a beer when I used to go to get my haircut.
Cost her about £80 from what I recall and that was about 1997 so dread to think what it would have cost now.

You're right, sorry, love. By the way, have I said how nice you're looking today? :sus:

You know you're an alkie when you're getting your hair cut at your pub

Lol, someone offered to cut my hair in the pub last night, minutes after telling me he'd been on a 30 day diazepam bender. 'I lost the salon seven years ago but I haven't lost the magic'. Lurch. Hiccup. No thanks mate.

lol on that note, got a haircut the other day (first time in 6 months mind, so it was a Big Deal) and it was from my local pub's landlord's wife. She did a fucking brilliant job of it, refused money, so I paid her in shots about two hours later. Got her shitfaced. Good times.

get your son one. He'd love that. i was annoyed my sister bought my lad his first blades. He has nothing to shave. Ah well. While she moans about me getting ripped off for drugs may she get ripped off for beauty products

I think if I set my life out to be a career criminal, I think spending a lot of time pulling of heists like that would be pretty easy if your smart enough and have a good team. :D Not sure what my mother would say about all the clutter though.

A few good decent raids recently where the police dont even have a clue where to start, and the people will never be caught. The £500k smash and grab in selfridges of expensive watches, in and out in 2 minutes? The 2 high powered scooters into the shopping centre in London, made off with a good £2m worth of jewellery whilst the security guard just watched on.

Another favourite, some guys dig a tunnel under a bank in germany which is closed for the weekend, open every single security box and clear the place out. (Thats a lot of pissed off people lol who wont get there money back?)

The robbers dug the tunnel before setting a fire as they left to cover their tracks.
The team of thieves, which a Berlin police spokesman described as “very professional”, spent weeks and possibly months digging the hole which ran from a underground garage to the bank’s safe deposit room.
Police were alerted to the break-in at the Berliner Volksbank branch early on Monday morning when a security guard noticed smoke coming from the vault.
They besieged and eventually stormed the safe room where the thieves had holed up only to find out they had escaped through a tunnel dug by accomplices.

Anyone?

Good idea PinkP.I bought him a laptop and a digital video camera when I was still working but I can't afford those sort of things now.
I could buy him some stuff for his Mixed martial arts lessons as he is really into MMA and is a real fitness freak. He does his MMA,running, boxing, lifts weights and works part time in a gym.
Well done on your progress by the way.

@Mendo I love reading about when people pull off these big heists, exciting stuff if you got the balls to do it.
Great if you get away with it but I wouldn't want to do the time if caught.
Right I'm off as flatmate is wanting to kick my arse on FIFA 13.
Adios amigos
