Gawd.. Catholics notoriously don't read the bible. Church life and the rituals seem to be more important. Same for Orthodox. Evangelicals, pentacostals, charismatics etc are more bible based churches.

well i agree with you 100%
two schizophrenic lads i used to know did all the reading on my behalf and told me thing.they can recite fav passages fron memory
strange partys they had...all mephed up argueing about scripture.
these lads are catholic btw

isnt there stuff about avoiding the wicked snares of the devil...ie drugs somewhere in the bible?

I just did an edit acieed to the previous post

No one.. repeat NO ONE is sunk. We all screw up all the time. The point of the cross is that we can come to it and God for forgiveness if we are genuinely sorry. If we stop making excuses and let down the defences and just say in prayer that we are sorry and want to change.

Right its not God that looks for your forgiveness, live your life as you would do onto others, god plays no part..... Sorry Yella I know you have your beliefs

i pray a lot more than i let on...infact only one person really knows.
but yeah i do. and i always get positive results.
the amount of times my lifes been saved by this makes me a little :'(

These things would of happened if you prayed for them or not, its call life, swings and roundabouts

There's no need to apologise. I'm secure in what I believe and love to talk about God .. I don't see debate as a personal thing.
Sometimes Bloob, it seems as though posters fire all thier anger* and venom at the church in my direction because i'm the token Christian. I actually have very simple views. Its basically about following the Holy Spirit in a nutshell like lol. Sometimes I get it very wrong but I try to keep short accounts with God and get to my confession.. which involves me and God in prayer not a church with a confessor who'll assure me of redemption with a hundred hail marys. I dont go to church at the moment. I'm thinking of going back though if thats where i'm led.

For me God is Love. Did you realise that you advised me to do as Jesus says:

Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6.31

I dont have any religous beliefs lol you might of guessed?
