Right cup of tea then its time to get my hair clippers out as can't stand it once my hair gets to about grade 2,I like to keep it clipped right down to the scalp even if it's not exactly ideal in this weather.

US version stinks in my opinion. They've just made a US comedy with little connection to the UK version, he must be minted and laughing off the back of that.

I've never seen the US version. Probably won't be bothering anytime soon either. His live shows are excellent. Funniest things he's ever done imo.

Yeah the US version isn't worth watching as it just doesn't compare to the original.
His stand up is excellent isn't it.TheHistory stand up DVD where he's talking about Noah's Ark is so funny, both his stand up DVDs are great.

Indeed. And I don't blame him at all for taking the big bucks. It's not like anyone's forced to watch the remake. The original series probably wouldn't make much sense to the American market anyway. His later series seem to be made more with foreign markets in mind though.

As for his stand-up stuff, only watched the last two he did recently, Still topnotch stuff. The Animals one is probably me favourite though. And all of his religious material creases me up. It's the way he acts out the lil scenes that gets me everytime - "Do we have to do it in the blowhole again?" =D

He doesn't have one called History.

Animals, Politics, Fame & Science are the 4 stand-up DVDs he's done.

I'm looking forward to Derek, when's that on? Must be soon. He's also the guy who brought us the genius of Karl Pilkington, that's probably the best thing he's ever done. I love Karl.

I got it from a bluelight thread some months back.

What you getting at? :sus:

Rap was in inverted commas because Mark Grist is not a rapper, he's a poet.

That was one of the most painful things I've ever seen.

Aye the notepad bit is fucking...I don't even know. Walk awaaaaay. It's like the rap battle equivalent of someone coming up with a shitey comeback like six weeks after an argument.

edit: especially when he kicks off with 'yo that's not what I call a diss'

Yeah you are right PTCH,my mistake mate. I know I have seen Science and Animals for sure but not sure about the other 2.
I just saw a trailer last night for the new series of Derek but I can't remember when it said it begins but am looking forward to that as well.

I swear I had to read that about 5 times before I understood the mechanics behind your trap. I think my IQ has halved in the last 10 days. Fucking arylcyclohexalcyclocalocamines...

This would have probably helped, it's a pic from somewhere else. Bugger of a thing trying to get the glass to sit on the coin but its precariousness is obviously the trap's strength. As soon as the glass fell the mouse ran round in circles at high speed, then started squeaking frenziedly as I lifted the glass and took him outside to be dumped in the garden. He may be back later but there's at least a 50% chance he'll go and molest my neighbours instead.

Looks like it Max, sorry! I don't think I've seen one for years, used to be one not far from here but now it's a (good) 24hr Turkish supermarket. Gotta say it's more useful than BB ever was to me.

I had another DIY trap but it was kind of crap so I had a quick Google and found that. It works well- first time I did it the mouse was left overnight and it either partially suffocated or stressed itself out to the point of near death; it was still alive but only just so I had to finish it off with a hammer which was an unpleasant business.

have you seen the one thats a kitchenroll tube with some bait in it balanced on the edge of a worktop, with a bucket underneath to catch it? A mate caught a mouse that way then had no idea what to do with it afterwards, what do you do with a live mouse? He flushed it down the toilet. City Folks, lol.

Ha, that was how my shit trap worked! Or rather, didn't.

This mouse was released by a gap in my neighbour's wall with 'there you go you little wankstain' and a roar when it looked like it was going straight back into my place. Unfortunately my neighbour has builders in his garden, about a foot away, so who knows what they thought of that.

You had to finish it with a hammer? Haha, no you didn't! There's plenty ways to kill the fucker without smashing it to pieces.

Edit - LOL at flushing a mouse down the toilet.

What else could I have done? I wanted it to be quick and I had a hammer nearby. The next mouse I found in a bad way got put in a plastic bag and slammed into the wall then stuck under a plank and stamped on.

Oh, that's a bit shit. Will miss it once its gone and the staff in ours are great I always have a laugh with them when I go in there.
I feel sorry for them losing their jobs also. So many factorys and shops have closed around here in the last year or so. One place recently had to lay off 276 staff in one go. Not good situation when looking for a job as I am.
