Same here. That and (now this is bizarre) a picture of Spike Milligan dressed as a witch. I have no idea why he was dressed like that, but it was on a magazine cover.

I was so terrified of that picture (and witches in general) that my mother ended up spinning this yarn (again - mondo bizarro) about Spike only putting on his witch costume so he could paint kids' playgrounds.

I liked playgrounds a lot, so after that I wasn't scared. And since then I've developed a bit of a witch 'thing' sexually. Not necessarily 'real' witches, and definitely not old hags; just women dressed in pointy hats and that. I'm quite upset that Sexy Witch has seemingly been abandoned - that was a good blog.

If said 'witch' is also as gorgeous as Rose Mc Dowall, then I'm afraid it's cardiac arrest time.

That boat scene was sinister too.. it was the build up to Willie's final 'No signs of SLOWING'... I wasn't an anxious kid just really a few movie scenes, earwigs* and a big, ginger, bully in the adjacent estate named Wendy Upjohn. I saw smash two bricks against a lads head once and we were only about 10.

It's a fairly common name in Scotland, for streets and place names more than people but still. You're not supposed to pronounce the 'ck'. A bit like all the Scottish Smellies who are now called Smilie.

Aye, I used to get folk on the phone at work all the time with that surname & made a point of always pronouncing it Cockburn no matter how many times they corrected me & said it was pronounced Coeburn "Yes, I know Mr Cockburn, now how can I help you?" "IT'S NOT COCKBURN!!!" The thing is... it fucking is Cockburn & they know it. Same with Smellie. They can pronounce it wrong if they like, if that somehow makes them feel better, but I'm going to pronounce it properly. Fuck them.

Soooo they've printed off another one to be signed. I was told that maybe if I went up to the surgery that I could wait for it to be signed but apparently the GP who it was handed to (my usual is ill so not there) didn't have the time to literally scribble in a box so I didn't have to go through a night of withdrawals and be throwing-my-hands-up-in-the-air-only-to-bring-them-down-and-silently-weep-pissed off :|

... I can scribble in a box... Maybe I should become a rubbish GP... Not a good one, just a rubbish one who apparently writes with his / her right hand but had an "accident" involving a shark in the Caribbean....

There seems to be a generation of men that have suddenly seen the sexiness of witchy women. Not saying its obviously a main stream thing.. It isn't. Not overtly at least.
I've got a huge ramble about ( which I'll spare you) why men are attracted to the mystery,intuition and spirituality in women and then want to own it, stifle and kill it ( with logic)

I imagine being that stunning in her youth has made getting older and more hag like terrifically painful...I've seen pics of the 50 year old Rose at gigs and shes still a striking woman just in a different genre. She looks like shes found her power there so alls well that ends well.

I was going to post a pic of Rose not looking at her best at all but thought I'd spare you. :D

It's definitely Spring. I've got a full article (like about a dozen pages) from some magazine about it. My mate sent me it as a PDF. It sounds fucking amazing. The map is bigger than GTAIV, San Andreas & Red Dead combined. They even mapped the entire ocean floor so you can go scuba diving. You play 3 totally separate characters simultaneously, switching between them on the fly at any point (other than in missions, unless more than 1 character is doing the same mission) & their stories all intertwine. It had shitloads of new, confirmed information about it. I can't wait for it, definitely going to lock myself away for weeks when that comes out lol.
