I would teach my niece to throw it in the bin(practice aim)
then gtfo outside and climb a tree, do drugs or something.

They're not learning to use a computer, its used as another tool to teach them basic numeracy and literacy, interactive, fun.. ya'know... pens and paper can get a bit boring sometimes so a break from that can help refresh that thirst for knowledge..

As an aid that's use is limited im all for it, they can only benefit.

She only spends an hour or two a week on the school computer, which ive no problem with, the problem lies in kids who spend the resr of the day infront the tv or computer imo..

I will bring my child up as I please. It's OK for people to say stuff when they've not got kids n don't know how difficult it is bringing them up on your own with the pressures of fucking it up.

I said very similar stuff when I didn't have a child. I'd do this, that, other - judge other parents but really I was just very ignorant.

I'm sorry but this subject is one that really gets on my tits when i see people without kids saying all this BS n judging parents when they've no fkn clue.

I do my damnest for my child - on my fucking OWN because her father is a pedo n currently serving a four-year jail sentense for abusing a child.

If i choose to buy my child a tablet or any fucking else that's MY choice n I have my bloody reasons for doing so.

FFS.... I'll be back later when I'm not so angry!

Nobody was telling you how to raise your child Evey. They're entitled to their opinion and entitled to post it on here.

Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean you have to take it as a personal attack.
 
Evey - not everything that's posted is designed as a personal attack on you. Its just a bunch of people voicing opinions on random shit on the internet. I'm sure they weren't even thinking of you and your daughter when they wrote it. Just saying random stuff.

If you go through life taking everything people say as a personal attack your going to end up extremely angry all the time.

Honestly, people are not out to get you hun.

My 3 year old Nephew can scroll through youtube videos on a smart phone (after we search for him) and pick them, rotate the phone, put them full screen & play them... he even knows how to close the little adverts that show up. So yeah, just hand-eye coordination stuff... :p

I do my best not to make the mistake of taking my phone out whilst he is around, there is only so many nursery rhymes videos I can watch... much preferred his Fireman Sam phase, at least I got to relive my childhood. :D
 
Sounds easier than it was teaching my 81 yr old mum how to send a text message....could she understand it?...could she fuck!

That's one of the last memories I have of her actually (well the last happy one.....certainly don't count trying to get her heart restarted whilst waiting for the ambulance to arrive as a happy memory). Even 8 minutes is a long time when your bricking it.

Fuck.......I feel sad now :-(

I should go to Amsterdam this fucking weekend. I'd probably end up boshing benzos and buying a ticket for Syria though. At least it'd be an adventure, eh?
 
Cheers. :) Incidentally I was chatting to a guy from Syria yesterday. He gave us some rather nice weed because he was completely wasted.

Well there's always room for an Amsterdam BL meetup at some point in the future. Though it did take about a year for the mini local one to be arranged, so that might take some planning. ;)

It was my fault that the local one kept getting delayed. I'm slightly better at these things now. Slightly.
