Gibberings CLXXII - I Have Zero Imagination

Been in a&e all night as I had a fit/seizure and smashed my face up. Really hurt my knee and collar bone as well. Considering the damage I think it was a seizure, I am gutted. I got blood all over flat and myself, never bled so much. Knocked myself out when I hit my head, not sure how long I was out for. Bit pissed off that I have been given fuck all pain relief bar 2 shitty codeine, once you are down on the system as a addict/drug user you can kiss goodbye to pain relief.

Scary shit (not your picture the story) - hope your feeling better soon

Pregablin is an anti convulsant and is a gabba hammerer so I don't think its that, got a feeling it is the quitiapine mixed with the tail end of a detox.

But didn't you have another seizure recently when you stopped taking pregabalin?

And I know quietapine can lower the seizure threshold, but were you taking anything else at the same time that could have triggered it? I think it's pretty rare for quietapine alone to trigger seizures.

cheers man.

oh and oi I seen the hairline comment! :) Its not that bad is it? That is a football top btw, not that I was playing football -I don't support ac Milan either but it keeps me warm.

Haha I removed that - seems you spotted it.

I'll explain it so you don't think I was / am taking the piss - A while ago I was posting some photos messing about with my new camera. Shambles is a photographer so made some comment about my shitty camera work (or words to that effect). When he posted about the framing etc being great I was taking the piss (out of myself) - If you look at the right side of your head / left hand side of the picture - your missing a clump of hair due to the lighting (or something). My other comment was about the horizon - line of ceiling not matching the photo (all really mundane stuff). After I posted it I realized that you may not understand the joke / take offence so I removed the comment - was meant in complete fun.

Have you seen me - my hairline starts / ends on the back of my neck - so can hardly take the piss :D

That's cool mate, no offense taken like :) I hit 30 the other day so that's to blame for my hair line but yeah the light makes it look worse. Shambles was on about the bloody sink picture anyhoo -I think it a good photo considering what just happened.

Haha - (Christ, I'm making matters worse).

Nothing wrong with your hairline - theres a glitch in the photo so it looks like your missing a part of your head/hair. Was he - I'm not awake yet :D

I don't have a clue mate, I am sickly as fuck and been through the wars so it could be anything.

By 'sickly as fuck' and 'been through the wars', what do you mean exactly? You've been getting wrecked?

If it was a seizure, then you shouldn't be so casual about it. Anything could've happened. If there's a chance it was just a mishap brought on by mixing your meds with something else and bashing your face in, then that's completely different.

I know if it were the former then I'd be keen to prevent it happening again if at all possible. Same applies to the latter, but obviously that's entirely within your hands.

Where do I start, I had a 70mph motorbike crash, diagnosed with emphesemia (sp) at 22 (bull shit), had to have my heart restarted several times in hospital, been on life support in a coma, stupid amounts of drugs use, seizure in rehab last year which totally fucked me up and gave me bad psychosis -the list goes on.

Yeah I am casual about it as that's fuck all compared to some of the things I have been through and there is no point getting wound up about it so I don't. Its nothing compared to the terrors of psychosis so I take it in my stride. I am back off to a&e soon anyhoo but they wont do fuck all no doubt so I will have to man it out. I am still on the tailend of a detox which does not help.

I was only taking my scripted meds, quitiapine gave me a seizure last year in rehab and they just started me back on it so its prob that...

Nah I am starting to lose my hair line, I live above a abandoned nuclear reactor so I blame that. Search Burlington underground for more info :)

Well it shouldn't be happening. I hope you're going to tell your GP about the seizures?

Yeah its odd that these days people go bald early, I swear when I was younger nobody in their 20's was losing it but loads of my mates have lost their hair and they are all in their 20's.

When I was in my twenties, I watched several mates going bald. Most of whom admitted defeat around the age of 25 and shaved it.

I'm almost exactly four years older than you (to the day, it would appear) and I haven't observed that phenomenon. To be honest, I think there's just more of a stigma about trying to disguise it, so more guys shave it off once they recede past a certain point. Plus shaven heads are more socially acceptable these days.

I'm thankful that baldness / receding isn't going to happen to me, though greyness is another matter.

Innit. One of my oldest friends had a beautiful head of hair in his early teens. He went to university and came back to visit with such a receding hairline that we had to convince him to just shave his head. Sad times :( Same with another friend the same age, had really nice curly hair and it all started to recede violently in his 20s so he shaved it all off too. Still has an awesome beard, tho <3

Hope you're feelin better soon 5star, looks pretty fuckin painful.

Anyone know what time and channel the footy's on today? Argentina vs. whoever?
