Whats the deal with these BL Ambassador titles I've seen popping up here and there? Seen a couple now.

Wondered that myself. I could go have a looksee in the staff forum but don't remember seeing any thread that looked likely to mention it and am having a lazy week so unless curiosity becomes overwhelming it can remain a mystery for now.

Can we get an extra custom title for Shambles that reads 'Storm God'? =D

Given the circumstance and my general nature 'Piss Artist' is probably more appropriate.

What a lovely weather today :D Make one smile. All tho' I have sum crap things to do today it is helping a little the sunny shineey.

Anyone see that Farage vs Clegg thing last night ? And that Farage got 69 % of the vote on whether viewers thought that he won the debate. Strangely the event didnt make any headlines in the press, apparently none of the papers want to "give him a leg up". Quite surprised by that, i would have thought that The Sun, The Mail and The Express would have been happy to make a big sensationalist thing out of it.

Live and learn - thanks for helping me stay lazy, Ben :D

I have precious little idea what forums there are around BL myself these days. Perhaps I could avail myself of an ambassador? Somehow I don't think any of our EADD residents are likely to make the cut. Summat about being held up to higher standards in regards the BLUA and being active across the whole site. Be nice if any amongst us did achieve such a thing but won't be holding my breath.

Remember that any growth in support for UKIP tends to erode the right-wing Tory vote.

There's certainly not been a press blackout on it though; most of the papers have covered it. The Guardian even states that the poll it commissioned matches the figures from the poll taken by The Sun.

Unfortunately, while I was reading the Guardian article, I happened to catch sight of the Soulmates ad and saw a guy called 'EcoTantric' advertising himself. Fucking hell. :|

I hope to raas' God that he doesn't get laid. Ever.

Eco Tantric? Might as well call himself 'Mr Date Rape in Sandals'.

I love lazy. Lazy is great. The best days are spent doing nothing at all not buzzing around like busy bee bastards.

I have a few friends that are seemingly always hyper. They can't sit down for any period of time, always need to be doing something and flit between tasks and stress like life is going to pass them by if they don't get everything done right this second. Crazy behaviour.

I am thank you ScotchMist. Hows things with your good self? Still fighting the good fight? ;)

Plmar was the first I saw can't remember the name of the other one. Just curious.

You up to much today mate?

Try not to breathe the polluted air folks. You will die if the Mirror's headline is anything to go by.
Im fighting yes, round 1 today of my DIY detox, not feeling to bad at the moment really, im feeling more postive as things are looking brighter on the family/home situation... feeling quite good to say im feeling quite rough :)

As for what im up to, supposedly working but in reality im just pretending to look busy and keeping my mind occupied on here. I just havent got the energy to work..

Lazy is excellent, sometimes. Mainly be me for the next week or so anyway..!

Anyone else see Professor Nutt's AMA on reddit ?
1000 people making the same joke.
Thats pretty much killed what little affection I had for reddit, what a load of dicks

That's really good to hear ScotchMist. I'm pleased things are looking up for you with regard the family situation. Sorry you feel rough but I hope it will be worth it in the long run. Keep going man, you can do it! <3

Good to hear some good news for a change. All the very best matey.

I was perhaps selling myself short describing it as a lazy week. In actuality I'm working around the clock this week. Admittedly that work is largely making new dopamine which is not the most exhausting work in the world, but fairly vital work if having any plans or intentions of any other work (or 'thing' in general for that matter) being exhausting or just plain not getting done. Memory vaguely informs me that dopamine takes longer to recover and replenish than serotonin does but never been that sure cos don't think my natural levels are exactly stratospheric at the best of times.

How are you making new dopamine ? With or without chemical assistance ? Sorry to sound like an interrogation, I'm just interested.

I believe that if you stop taking substances like nicotine which temporarily increase dopamine levels that the brain will in time start to form its own equilibrium naturally. Kind of like quitting opis when for a while the brain can be extremely low on endorphins, as it has reduced its own natural levels to adjust to the artificial bombardment, but in time it will start naturally producing its own endorphins again ?

IME serotonin depletion is far trickier and more pronounced and hard to deal with the effects on mood than dopamine depletion.

I'm more management.

Maybe we manage da brain
Or maybe just we're just helpless observers watching as the auto pilot swings between train wreck and strokes of genius with large swathes of mediocrity inbetween

... it isnt the easy option.

I must say I don't find it overly taxing.

Interesting question is that. It is by no means certain we actually have all that much control over whatever goes on betwixt the lugs. The fact that decisions are made up to 30s before we are consciously aware of them is enough of an oddity to bring quite a number of assumptions into question. If not consciously aware until after a decision is made in what sense are decisions conscious? Where does that leave the concept of free will?
