Well, I think Paris sort of deserves a reputation for having a general culture of chauvisism and elitism. I mean, to get a train anywhere in France, it used to be that that meant getting the train to Paris, and then getting the train from Paris to wherever you actually wanted to go. You can hardly say that stereotypes of Parisians as, at times, snooty are entirely wide of the mark. Having said that, in general, Parisians tend to be aloof, which is preferable to Londoners, who are all too often rude cunts. Not having a dig at anyone, just commenting on broad cultural trends. The other side of it is people from outside cities being slack-jawed, unsophisticated rubes, though, right? First time I went to London, it was a tiny radio short of being Midnight Cowboy. "Different to Devon here, innit? All the barns are all tall and made of glass and that".
Bisou.
