Well, I think Paris sort of deserves a reputation for having a general culture of chauvisism and elitism. I mean, to get a train anywhere in France, it used to be that that meant getting the train to Paris, and then getting the train from Paris to wherever you actually wanted to go. You can hardly say that stereotypes of Parisians as, at times, snooty are entirely wide of the mark. Having said that, in general, Parisians tend to be aloof, which is preferable to Londoners, who are all too often rude cunts. Not having a dig at anyone, just commenting on broad cultural trends. The other side of it is people from outside cities being slack-jawed, unsophisticated rubes, though, right? First time I went to London, it was a tiny radio short of being Midnight Cowboy. "Different to Devon here, innit? All the barns are all tall and made of glass and that".

Bisou.

Paris does have philosophy cafes and things like that ? And i have seen some people walking arounbd as if they were Jean Paul Sartre himself and others like some kind of haughty ice queens. Definately a tiny minority though, but those kind of people do stand out. I guess the bigger the city, the more annoying other people are as its so crowded, and everyone is 'in the way'. Its a bit dehumanising as you dont even look at other people when theres so many of them, its too much to take in.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I definitely wouldn't say Paris' reputation is entirely unjustified, I just think it tends to be very over-exaggerated and that Parisians' behaviour is often misinterpreted. I'm just trying to make a point of that because I'm sure I've often acted in ways that non-Parisians would consider rude when I meant nothing by it whatsoever and was simply brought up not to be all that responsive to strangers.

Et oui, je suis française :) j'ai bien compris ton paragraphe, je suis impressionée et toujours là pour te donner de l'aide si t'en veux :D

"Some weird warning light came on last night and there was a burning smell when i got out the car"

My eyes would be straight on the temp gauge and checking the water

I could make my civic smell burny if i hammered the shit out of it, no warning lights though, but it burnt oil. then the thermostat went and it started to overheat in traffic cos the fan wouldn't kick in. n then it went to the scrapper at MOT time cos it was rusty. i miss that car

Oui c'est normal, mais je trouve que tu parles quand même très bien, surtout si t'as jamais pris de cours!

yeah i see your logic, the temp gague didnt move, though i will check the cooling water level. I think i put too much antifreeze in that, my dad told me to drain it out and dilute it, ofcourse i didnt bother, it survived a 300 mile round trip to wales, and i was hammering it on the return journey, so i dont think it's that. But i'll check it out.

^ this

Im tempted by a lil bomb of 4-FA. just for the speedy-ness, not the seretoniny. altough that goes against my week day sobriety

I'm quite liking the WD eliminating properties of this AH-7921, only did 50mgs today and it's still keeping the bad feelings away.

Now I have to go to town to pay my car insurance, hate those bastards.
