Gibberings CLV: Empathy is a Two Way Street

One bonus of not having a job is not having to set my alarm for stupid o'clock in the morning anymore.
My last job I was getting up at 5am and then going & doing a 12 hour shift on a very busy factory floor.
This time of year I would never see daylight, was dark on the way to work and dark when I finished.

yeah theres plusses and minuses to each. The main plus of work is obviously the money, and you can meet some people that are friendly and funny. The negatives are arsehole bosses, some aresohole colleagues, theres allways at least 1, getting up at stupid o clock, driving in rush hour, the lack of free time. The positive of being unemployed is you have time to do what you want, but lack of money can restrict your options a bit.

Farm work is deffo hard work.
I remember in the early 90's doing some spring onion picking on a huge flat open field in Norfolk and it was windy as hell and fucking freezing. Hardest money I ever earned I think.

you're very welcome, i like listening to this guy on you tube, i like the finger picking style and he is fucking awesome at it. Id like to lie and pretend this is me, id love to be able to do what this guy does, im not very good at strumming, but i think with a hell of a lot of practice and perserverence i could get somewhere with the finger picking styleee.

i know this wont be to hardly anyones taste, a bit of a purists thing, if that doesnt sound way pretentious and snobby.

i guess this is slightly more 'cool' and 'groovy'

Very nice, to be able to finger pick like that takes some doing, i only use my thumb and first finger, should have learnt to use em all really

I'd love to be able to play like that, the bastard looks about 8 years old or something lol :!

He looks a bit arrogant, but hard not to be if you're so young and that good.

I worked out that my habit is roughly around a £100 a week near £200 if I drink so I can not rely on the dole and working with a habit that cost this much is just not do able most of the time as my pay check goes straight on paying for the drugs to get me up and to work .

really fucked up back in the 90s when I stared using speed to work 6 days a week doing 12 plus hours

I wouldn't want to do that sort of work full time if I could help it but it can be ideal for short term to get a bit of quick cash especially if its cash in hand.

I used to take home £370 a week in my last job and about £280 of that was spent on gear.
Was a shock going from a habit that size costing that much to only having £71 a week, couldn't sustain a daily habit on that money so it made giving up gear a lot easier as I knew I just couldn't afford to have a habit anymore.
