I'd love to say I could quite happily do that, but I'd be lying. I love a smoke and it's the only drug that doesn't seem to take more out of me than vice versa.
I really hate the expenditure involved in it all though. It really is time I started growing.
And then if I could only grow my own heroin, that'd be me set for life.

well i know you were kidding but the source plant; the opium poppy itself is extremely easy to germinate even in the UK. Our climate isnt really reliably or consistently dry enough for the pods to allways grow to be fully mature and reach maximum potency though, and though it is claimed in a book that 'amateur chemists' could derive heroin from these pods i have my doubts about that.

Oh, I like to collect a few pods when they're in season.
You could quite easily manufacture heroin given the time, the right chemicals and the equipment; I think that most commercially-produced opioids are derived from poppy straw these days rather than scored poppy pods, so the weather doesn't necessarily matter that much. In fact, it's not weather at all that deters would-be poppy farmers in the UK; it's cost effectiveness.
Though as with all such things, if it were that easy then everybody would be doing it.

I think quite a lot of people are doing it, or trying to.
The weather has caused problems for some pods i saw growing over the last 2 years. Especially last year they started off really strongly with all the sunshine and just occasional rain, but as the plants were about to reach maturity it constantly pissed down for weeks and the plants died (the grower experimented by trying a poly tunnel, which they obviously didnt like as it killed them). From what i can gather it is helpfull for the growth and strength of the pods if the weather stays sunny from when the pods form until their crowns turn up, indicating that they are ready to harvest.
Maybe i could manufacture heroin if someone gave me all the equipment and showed me how to do it. I sure as hell couldnt figure it out from a book though.
Thats strange about cost effectiveness given the street value of the stuff, i guess what you mean is that each pod needs at least 6 inches of free space, preferably more, a foot ideally, so you cant really grow that many or produce that much unless you have fucking enormous fields.

Would love to just be able to go out and collect poppy pods like some of you do. Not seen any round here on my travels which is a shame. Do they grow wild or are they mostly cultivated? I know shit about them past 'I like opioids' and 'Pretty flowers'.
Got me some EPH today, gonna see how that works out. I feel like I should use it to actually get some work done but it's only a sample so can always get some more if it's good for that purpose.

Both. Some of my best finds are from public parks, but a fair few pods can be found growing on disused land. They're not very fussy about decent soil.
Does it make your hair shorter then ?

that is what you call living the dream, growing your own gear. it would need a lot of land though I must prepare the soil for some seed scattering anyway poppy tea isn't the same as a good old boot. Why are there daft rules about what one can and can't do? Heroin is demonised because it is the supreme painkiller antidepressant etc. The pharmaceuticals need to make other stuff up that they know will never be so good.

Ah that's cool, I sort of just associate them with gardens for some reason. Plenty of disused land here and my own gardening skills aren't brilliant, so...
Quite liking this ethylphenidate, can actually concentrate on stuff instead of flitting from tab to tab every five seconds and forgetting what I was doing. Fair mood lift and quite awake. Feel like it'd be good to keep on hand given that I'm not wanting to re-dose like I would with speed or PV
