Not trying to play the sympathy card or anything......:)

That is a bandage.

How come it's covering your whole leg? The picture of the burn only looked about the size of a lid of mayonnaise.

I was curous about that myself.....it's a bit bigger than that (about 5 inches in diameter roughly but not THAT big). There is a gauze dressing underneath which they obviously want to hold firmly in place but knee to toe seems a little excessive to me. Although it has deteriorated quite a bit since I posted that pic yesterday.

I would never bandage anyone up that severely for a burn. Maybe they know something I dont :)

Didn't you say the nurse was fit? Maybe she just liked handling your limb and got a bit carried away. I suppose you can stare at her while she takes an hour to remove it.

Would you be allowed to take the bandage off yourself when it's done its job, what with you being a medicine man? Save you having to go to the hospital.
I suppose you could take a day off work having it removed.

Could do I suppose but I dont have access to these dressings and might need more antibiotics or redressed of something.....no real advantage in doing it myself really.

She was kind of fit in a strange sort of way.....or maybe I just don't get out enough...

I'm not working Saturday anyway so a date it is :)

Well covered knee to toe in a massive bandage and given a course of fluclox (as it turns out infection has already set in) and a date to see the rather fetching nurse practitioner again 11:00am Saturday to see how it's getting on..

Luckily I didn't have to wait too long as was triarged in about 10 minutes then bypassed the two hour wait to see the doc and got sorted by the nurse practitioner instead.....

In and out within 30 minutes...pretty efficient for A&E.:)
It helps when they know you are in the profession. When i hurt my back my nurse unit manager took me down to ED (our a & e) we had to go to triage by law first but then it was straight out the back. Anyone urgent of course would have been seen before me but i certainly jumped the queue.

Fuck Englandz......btw after concussion 6 weeks ago then ucking my ankle falling down the stairs I then fell from the top of of more stairs following week...tonight..trapped hand can hardly type..ripped fingernail from bed and seem to have a ganglion no (sp) Yay sobriety just doesn't suit some....get healed soon.

god , how the fuck did I allow myself to get talked into going back to work. ? This is no time to be up charging about , should be thinking about getting into bed not out the bed.
And flo STAY AWAY from stairs <3
Hope everyone has a better day than I'm goin to.

Afternoon / Morning / Evening peoples. Frustrating day for me dealing with bureaucratic bullshit trying to arrange services for people who need them. Chasing referrals and paperwork all day basically. Anyway i am going to have a few beers and cook a curry and chill out. What are you lot all up to? Sleeping i guess.

Coming home from work Tuesday evening, had a fuckin blowout doing 90 down the A500! Pulled over safely, went to get the spare wheel, when I realised that was still fucked from the last blowout I had. Bugger! Sat there for 2 hours waiting for a recovery truck.

Then to cap it all, when I finally got home I tripped over a bleeding telly some cunt had left on my doorstep!

As Sgt Shultz would say " I know nothing...nothing" ;)

Thats a close one FUBAR....

Glad you came out of it ok. Outcome could have been much worse. I had wheels fall off before (both at work and gf's car) but luckily wasnt going that fast.

Big problem with works waggons is they have the wheels on and off several times a year due to changing from winter to summer tires, general tire wear, punctures etc. and if the nuts are overtightened just a touch each time the bolts get stretched a bit leading to metal fatigue and ultimately them snapping and the wheel falling off. Something that shouldn't happen if people do their job right but unfortunately they don't......and it does.

Also (and I hate stating the obvious) but doing 90???

You know the speed limits 70 right??....I'd hate to see you inadvertently break the law :)
