Heard from a mate, shafting charges actually works really well. Apparently you only need about 1/4 of your usual dose..

Has anyone here tried it/can back this up?

^ Via rectal administration? GHB is a weak acid and I can't find information about it being an irritant to mucous membranes so I imagine it would be fine to administer IR (assuming synthesis was done correctly and there isn't excess NaOH). GBL on the other hand is a known mucous membrane irritant and so would be very... uncomfortable to use IR.

Yeah up the bum lol. Thanks for the info, what he had was actually 1,4-b btw. Which would probably be 'safer' than GHB right?

Any idea's to why it rectal admin 'potentiates' it so much?

^ Quicker access to membranes that allow it cross over cells to access it's receptors. Normally the pH of the rectum is around the physiological 7.4, at which a lot of pharmacologic substances are non-ionized and hence able to cross cell membranes a lot easier as opposed to being ionized and unable to cross membranes so easily.

When you ingest a drug orally, much of the time the acidic contents of the stomach ionize the substance completely and it's not until it reaches the duodenum and intestine that the drug becomes non-ionized and can cross cell membranes easier to reach their targets.

ETA: This has been simplified though; there are active transport mechanisms in cells that allow the passage of certain ions (for example, Na+ and Cl-).

Ahh I see, I see.. Makes sense. Cheers guys! I'll put it on my list of things to do. (maybe lol)

some good knowledge in this thread.

i usually take 1,4 but today my dealer gave me a bottle where the substance is a hard clear rock substance at room temperature, im assuming its ghb this time, how do u dose it? do i dissolve it in water?

Nah 1,4 or ghb usually solidifies/turn to ice at room temp the purer the form ie the less cut/watered down it is. Basically, freezing usually = a more potent, stronger substance
Don't dissolve it in water, leave it in a bowl of warm/hot water(but not too hot) or just run it under the tap to defrost it and turn it back into liquid.

Hope that makes sense.. lol

Sorry I was a bit 'off' when I posted that which is why I added that part at the end :)

Not sure what you mean by that. But its as simple as warming the bottle up to melt the ice inside, although I've been told not to use too much heat as it's not good for whatever is in the bottle(not sure if this is correct)

jeez not a year goes by that I don't have to clarify this.

1,4-Butanediol - melting point is about 13 degrees celcius. GHB and GBL - THIS ISN'T AN ISSUE - Smell/Taste/Look should easily determine what substance you have. It's viscous and has a pretty horrible taste. At one point we used to get 2.5L bottles of 1,4-B, that came entirely frozen. A hot water bath for a few hours would normally do - and after 15 minutes usually enough for several doses to pass the time is melted and easy to remove from the bottle. Also take not that once 1,4-b is diluted with water the freezing/melting points are thrown wayyy out of whack.
General Dosage: 2-3ml for low-medium tolerance user

GBL - Smells like paint thinner, strips the skin from your tongue and mouth if ingested undiluted - and tastes like absolute shit (honestly there is nothing out there i could compare the horridness of this compound to)
General Dosage: 1.5ml (low tolerance) 3+ml (high tolerance)

Na-GHB (The Sodium Salt of Gamma Hydroxy-Butyrate) Generally a powder diluted in water, it will taste salty and have a soapy type consistency when in pure powder form.
General Dosage: 2-5 grams (general dilution ratio should be 1g:1ml, however this is impossible to tell unless you do it yourself)

Was wondering whenever i picked up ghb why it never froze.. Thanks for the info mr ibis!

^ Thanks Mr Ibis, helpful post :)
