game of thrones has a knack for hiring incredibly good actors though. both stephen dillane and liam cunningham are awesome.

Half way through A Feast for Crows. Gotta say I'm starting to like/respect Jaime Lannister. Sure he's a sister fucker, and he tried to kill a kid.

NSFW:
But I like how he stands up for people he respects. I just read the part where he bitch slaps Ser Connington for calling Brienne a hairy freak. Have to say that put a smile on my face, and of course he saved Tyrion. And now it seems he is the only one willing to stand up to Cersei.

Really liked season 1 a lot. I don't have HBO so I have 2 wait 4 season 2 to come out on dvd.. Bet its pretty gr8 tho.

book 5 spoilers
I don't think he's coming to Cersei's rescue. I certainly hope he doesn't. Varys knows that her rule is unraveling, and thus kills her uncle Kevan. Perhaps Kevan's death will make Jamie come back, but I don't think so. I think Jamie knows a sinking ship when he sees one, and after her punishment from The Faith, she is surely sinking.

NSFW:
I think the real reason he isn't going back to King's Landing is because he feels betrayed, besides the guilt over letting Tyrion go the night he killed Tywin.

anyone else see an Alys Karstark here?

Woah, I forgot this part from early in the written series, and I guess it puts the events of A Dance With Dragons in a new perspective.

(Spoiler only because it mentions names)

NSFW:
"I promise you that, by the old gods and the new, by the lamb god and the horse god and every god that lives. I swear by the Mother of Mountains and the Womb of the World. Before I am done with them, Mago and Ko Jhaqo will plead for the mercy they showed Eroeh"

Someone is going to be dragon food.

Bran I, ACOK: They didn't have to tell the truth, but the oaths were binding unless they said "Mayhaps," so the trick was to say "Mayhaps" so the lord of the crossing didn't notice. Then you could try and knock the lord into the water and you got to be lord of the crossing, but only if you'd said "Mayhaps." Otherwise you were out of the game.

Cat VI, ASOS: "My lord!" Catelyn had almost forgotten. "Some food would be most welcome. We have ridden many leagues in the rain." Walder Frey's mouth moved in and out. "Food, heh. A loaf of bread, a bite of cheese, mayhaps a sausage."

Interesting parallel.

By the way, have you seen the theory about Aurane Waters, Manderly & Patchface's "prophecy"?

NSFW:

“We will march into the sea and out again. Under the waves we will ride seahorses, and mermaids will blow seashells to announce our coming, oh, oh, oh.”

Check the symbols of House Velaryon and House Manderly.

I'm confused on this. Is the prophecy in the NSFW tags?

Just started watching this again, watched it when it originally came out back in 2010 and loved it. But have binge watched over the weekend almost the entire 1st and second series (up to episode 5 of the 2nd series) over 2 DAYS! Time well spent :D Forgot how great it was tbh, casting is brilliant and I find Tyrion hilarious! Just been introduced to Jacken Hagar (Badass as fuck) But I remember that after he gives back the 3 to the red gods he leaves. And ive just gota know without giving to much away, do we meet him again? Also please god tell me Geoffry comes to a rather nasty end!
